editor’s note— Sup, world? Sup, guys? It’s been a long time since we last met. Actually, I can’t even remember when that was. How was your holiday, by the way? I hope you guys all had a good one. And of course, to our Muslim friends and colleagues, Happy Eid Fitr. Did you get a lot of THR? Perhaps you can give me some? Just kidding. So, for this seemingly long month of June, we’re gonna take a look at some of the events happening in the past few weeks, both in our country—unfortunately quite sad—and abroad. We’ve got some of the interesting moments and facts from the Royal Wedding, the surprising revival of the long gone original U.K. version of Millionaire, and me reflecting on the terrorist attacks happening last month in our beloved country. We’ve also got you a short Q&A with one and only, Binus lecturer-cum-musician, Aziz “Comi” Kariko, and a special poem written by Puspita Ayu. That’s all. Enough for me babbling in here. Enjoy the magazine! I Gde Swastika Arya

The unspeakable words, languid of actions draw the moon to disclose its light The murmurs of the wind, resonating serene The trace of the night’s sky, mumbling softly in my ear The moon shines tonight, like a sapphire At the highest point, I only wish for one thing; at the crack of dawn for me to find the bliss of solitary

to cheating so that it does not become a habit. But, then again, it’s a temptation so I think I might … cheat again in the future, but definitely not at Binus. Karina Kristina (English Literature, BINUS University) Of course, I’ve cheated, though I don’t really remember when the first time was. Maybe around elementary or junior high. The reason was because I was unsure with my own answers. I think Binus' rules about cheating are cool because the other universities do not apply the same rule, so Binus is very brave to have that kind of rules. Anyway, I don’t think I will ever cheat again. Narumi Hartandi (Information Technology, BINUS University) I’ve never cheated before. That’s why I could never relate to those who did. I mean why do it if it only changes your score not your intelligence. Therefore, I support Binus’ rules. Maybe, instead of dropping students directly, Binus can perhaps give them early warning first, since there is a case that a student was actually not cheating and just gesturing or randomly looking.

Royal Wedding 2018

P

rince Harry and Meghan Markle (now Duke and Duchess of Sussex) officially became husband and wife on May 19, 2018 at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. There were some highlighting moments and facts surrounding it, and we have gathered some of them special for you, guys!

Meghan Markle is an American divorcee Meghan had been married once before she became a member of British royal family. However, this is not the first time that a royal family member marrying a divorced woman. On 1936, King Edward VIII decided to abdicate his throne to marry an American divorcee, Wallis Simpson. British society was far less accepting that day, but a lot of things have changed ever since then. The couple shared a much more intimate wedding Because Prince Harry is not a direct heir to the royal family’s throne, there was no need for him to invite very important people to his wedding; not even British Prime Minister Theresa May was invited. It was very much different to the wedding of Prince William

and Kate Middleton in 2011 which was full of noteworthy guests, including many prince, princess, and politicians from around the world.

her father was absent from the wedding.

Meghan’s Mom was her only relative who came to the wedding

It was said that Ms. Markle could not choose who to become her maid of honor among her friends. As a result, there were only bridesmaids and pageboys which consisted of Prince Harry’s godchildren, Meghan’s goddaughters, and also the children of the bride’s closest friends.

It was confirmed that Meghan’s dad, Thomas Markle, could not attend the wedding and would not walk his daughter down the aisle due to his health condition. Meghan’s half siblings were also not invited either. The Prince of Wales accompanied Meghan down the aisle Where it is usually the father of the bride who will walk her down the aisle, this time it was Prince Charles who did the honor for Meghan Markle, as

There was no maid of honor for the bride

The first official kiss took place outside the chapel While Prince William and Kate Middleton got to kiss on the balcony of Buckingham Palace back in 2011, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had their first kiss in the St. George’s Chapel – and it was because the wedding took place at Windsor Castle instead of London.
