Growing up the son of Ukrainian immigrant parents in a poor Italian neighborhood outside Buenos Aires city, I never imagined the Lord would bring me this far. To start with, the English language was definitely not on my radar screen. My Latin American upbringing also did not offer many opportunities for global success. Nevertheless, as I travel around the world today, I can tell people with confidence in my heart: the most important factor in personal success is not hard work, clear vision, or financial opportunities. The most important factor in achieving personal success is faithfulness to Jesus Christ. He is the Master, Owner of everything, and the Giver of success. When He opens a door, nobody closes it; and when He closes one, nobody can open it. One day of His grace is worth more than a thousand days of labor. And that’s what Global Freedom Concepts is all about: bringing biblical concepts on stewardship to see poverty defeated, financial slavery broken, and the Great Commission nationally funded all around the world. These times of crisis offer incredible opportunities to reach people with the powerful, transforming influence of God’s Word. These are times when hearts are willing and open to receive counsel and guidance. Today, more than ever, we can help those who are struggling financially and clearly present the transforming message of the Gospel to people who may have no church background or affiliation. We trust God to help us achieve our ministry's financial needs, which allows us to operate our current thirteen international offices throughout Latin America. Although some of our ministry directors are staff, many others volunteer their time. Our entire ministry team—more than one thousand staff members and volunteers—has been instrumental in impacting the lives of people across the globe. debts and their taxes! Thousands of children are learning God's way of handling money. People are coming to know Jesus as their Savior, and a few individuals have been saved from committing suicide. Nevertheless, one of the most important contributions to the body of Christ has been the development of a network of local ministry leaders who have brought the vision of biblical financial freedom to their nations. These leaders are actively engaged in transforming individuals, families, and entire communities. For more than a decade, God has used faithful partners and donors to help us meet our financial needs and allow us to minister all around the world. We are driven not by finances, but by our vision: to help believers around the world faithfully live by God's financial principles, bring order to their financial lives, be patient as they consider special purchases, save on a regular basis, live free of debt, and give with a high level of generosity. We accomplish these goals through the implementation of highly effective programs and award-winning, cutting-edge resources. We have a unique approach to our cross-cultural ministry. We write and edit our resources from the perspective of people living in developing nations, which has allowed our books and products to receive an overwhelming response not only in Latin America, but also in Africa and Eastern Europe. As usual, the needs of a prevention–and-restoration ministry such as ours always surpass the opportunities available. Our

Concepts and developed a relationship with Larry Burkett's family. By 1996, God’s call on Rochelle and Andrés Panasiuk was so strong that Andrés left Moody, found a senior pastor for his inner-city congregation, and moved to Gainesville, Georgia, to help expand the cross-cultural vision of the ministry—first to the Latinos in the US, and later to countries around the world. Since the merging of Burkett's organization with Howard Dayton's Crown Ministries, Dr. Panasiuk has traveled more than one million miles around the world. He has provided support and leadership to thousands of volunteers in more than eighty countries in five continents, creating an especially strong presence in Latin America.

Our Story

elieve it or not, this ministry to more than eleven million people started in a mother-in-law’s chicken barn, on a farm seventy miles northwest of Chicago. In September 1996, Dr. Andrés Panasiuk left his position at the Moody Bible Institute to start the Latino outreach of Christian Financial Concepts. This ministry restored lives and marriages in the same way that Andrés’ financial life and marriage were restored and transformed a few years earlier by the teachings of the late Dr. Larry Burkett. In the early 1990s, Dr. Panasiuk began teaching Dr. Burkett's materials to the members of his congregation. At that time, he was a pastor at Chicago's First Missionary Church in one of the toughest neighborhoods in the inner city. In January 2010, Dr. Andrés Panasiuk and his leadership team launched Global Freedom Concepts as an independent, self-sufficient organization. The goal of Global Freedom Concepts is to transform the stewardship culture of the Latin American people, grow the body of Christ in these countries, and bring salt and light to the Latin American nations.

here are more slaves in the world today than all the slaves that were brought from Africa to the Americas—ever! One of the growing forms of slavery in the world, and especially in India, is "debt bondage," where a person is literally enslaved because of the level of his or her debts. This slavery not only lasts the lifetime of the slave, but many times is inherited by his or her children as well. Even though we don't see many people physically enslaved in the US, many of your neighbors, coworkers, and friends are likely in deep financial bondage. In August 2006, United States consumer debt reached an all-time high of $2.35 trillion.* Sadly, the rest of the world is following our example. Global Freedom Concepts has made these words from Luke 4:18–19 our own: *Federal Reserve Statistical Release G.19. Consumer Credit. 6 Oct. 2006

He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." For the last thirteen years, we have been in the business of setting people free from financial bondage. We have helped people from all walks of life, from the president of a prominent ministry in Latin America, to ministries, churches, denominations, pastors, businesspeople, and government officials. Our mission is to bring people closer to the Lord and set them free from financial bondage, allowing them to participate in the call to help finance the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Freeing people from financial bondage also offers a “freedom dividend.” When they are set free, they begin to sustain themselves, invest in their families, purchase necessities, and improve the economy of their communities, thus producing a "community transformation" effect. By God's grace, we have been able to bring His message of financial freedom not only to the poor, but to the privileged as well. Impact Story Frank Gonzalez spent more than eighteen years as general manager for one of Venezuela’s most prestigious banks. His experience teaching about credit, investments, and mutual funds, along with his master’s degree in finance and administration, made him realize there was something more. “It’s unfortunate, but in today’s schools and universities, there is no clear teaching about finances to help bring financial freedom. In my professional life, I have learned that people are taught to spend more, acquire more debt, abuse credit, and despise the concept of saving—all of which will lead to an economic disaster. When I discovered how practical God’s principles could be in managing money, my vision of life radically changed!” Our ministry has been invited to teach stewardship to governments all over the world, including countries such as Paraguay and Guatemala. In the African nation of Namibia, all 90,000 government workers are being trained with Dr. Panasiuk’s book How Do I Make it To the End of the Month?

Today, Frank is the national director for Conceptos Financieros in Venezuela and helps leaders set people free from their financial bondage. In addition, he teaches about finances at the state university.

Impacting a Generation Luis Otalora, the national director for Bolivia, explains, “The best way to transform lives is to begin teaching important lessons to them as children.” With this in mind, we have tailored our material to children in order to teach them financial basics. We are currently training three hundred workers, and starting in February 2010, we will be training more than ten thousand children throughout the country in partnership with Compassion International.

espite the gloomy reports we hear from many relief organizations, poverty can be, and is being, defeated. Never before in the history of humankind have we taken so many people out of absolute poverty in such a short period of time.

• According to oﬃcial figures published by the World Bank, from 1981 to 2001, the world has lifted 400 million people earning less than $1 a day out of absolute poverty. Poverty levels have also been reduced from 40 percent to 21 percent of the world's population. Amazingly, this was not done with welfare or with United Nations relief programs. It was done the old-fashioned way—with work! • Government research in China indicates that their internal migrant workers are sending more than $12 billion from the cities to their villages, and this "floating" population could reach 160 million workers by the year 2010.** ** http://www.china.org.cn/english/null/108610.htm

• God's plan to end poverty can clearly be seen in Genesis 2:15, which says, "The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it." • The Bible shows that God's mandate to Adam and Eve was clear: production ("work it") and administration ("take care of it"). • Our business seminars, along with our association with the Fellowship of Companies for Christ International and our Micro-Enterprising workshops, teach people how to create products and services in a way that is efficient, abundant, and godly. We believe that abundant, efficient production and proper, godly administration are the two key weapons necessary to defeat poverty. Not only are we fully engaged in this battle in Latin America, but all over the world.

Our best-selling book, How Do I Make it to the End of the Month?, was originally written in Spanish and is now being translated into other languages. We also offer workshops, seminars, and small groups to help people use biblical principles and practical applications to manage their money according to the timeless principles from the Word of God.

In Exodus 36:3–7, we learn that even though Israel was a nation of slaves, God provided for them all the resources they needed to fulfill His will. The passage says, They received from Moses all the offerings the Israelites had brought to carry out the work of constructing the sanctuary. And the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning. And so the people were restrained from bringing more, because what they already had was more than enough to do all the work. As God’s people in developing nations are liberated from financial bondage and taught generosity, they will be free to give all the resources needed to complete the Great Commission.

“The alliance between Banco Rural (a chain of banks in Guatemala) and the ministry has allowed us to reach almost the entire country with ‘The Bible and Finances’ seminars from Conceptos Financieros. This has helped both the people and the ministry leaders. Because the bank is teaching these principles, we have received financing for church projects. In addition, some of the bank’s best customers have been pastors, because they have committed to these principles and are paying on time.”

This will be a two-day event managed by our local team in each country, but coordinated from our continental office in Guatemala. The objective is to bring in more than one thousand women and give them tools to handle family issues, finances, the business world, as well as help them keep a vibrant relationship with God. The subjects of the conference and teaching pivot around the Proverbs 31 woman. These events are marked with a great roster of international speakers, musicians, as well as local businessespeople and ministry leaders who will facilitate workshops. Our cost for these events in nine countries will be an initial investment of $30,000. Copies of the The Woman Who Prospers books, as well as the New Testament with notes for women, will be available at the events and through our network of distribution throughout Latin America.
