El consorcio global de operadores de telecomunicaciones GSMA, indica que las conexiones móviles con red 4G aumentaron en un 121 por ciento en el último año, pasando de 51 millones en 2015 a 113 millones en 2016.

wedish manufacturer Ericsson launched new fifth-generation (5G) technology platforms for mobile phone networks last month which are expected to begin commercialization in 2017 and 2018.
The launch includes devices, systems and 5G functionalities for access, transport and core of mobile networks, which would allow speeds of more than 1 Gbps to users, depending on the spectrum that each operator has available.
"Many of these products would already be operating in the networks of mobile operators in the world," said José Pablo Villalobos, Engagement Manager for network products for Ericsson Latin America.
These networks will provide services of high-definition video, telemedicine, virtual and augmented reality everywhere, and connection of objects in the Internet of Things (IoT).

The company partnered with futurists like Ian Pearson, who added visions for the future of its own researchers, and talked to artists and scientists to develop a realistic vision of the not-so-distant future.
Users can contribute and shape this
vision of the future by analyzing more than 200 predictions available online and are invited to present their own perspectives for inclusion on the Earth 2050 site. Kaspersky Lab wants to perceive how the world will look in the not too distant future to better understand the challenges it will bring. For example, if all life will be digitized, how will privacy be managed? If people have all their devices implanted inside them and their data in the cloud, how will they protect that data?
And what's more important for Kaspersky Lab: if there are no longer endpoint, will the industry move faster to find security solutions that fit the circumstances of customers, regardless of the device they are using at any time?
