The latest Mazda MX-5 hasn’t been on sale for long enough to identify any reliability issues. With such a simple mechanical layout and plenty of electronic kits shared with existing models, the car should provide trouble-free motoring. The 2019 model gained an upgraded engine with an extra 26 horsepower, and it became the first Miata available with forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking. These safety features are now standard on all 2020 Miata’s, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are newly available.
