Focus English - Sample Timetable At Viva College, we have found that one of the most important factors in achieving fluency in English is by focusing on a student’s weaknesses. By achieving an effective balance in all four Macro skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening), Viva College has created a system where the rate at which students succeed greatly increases. Our core classes provide students the opportunity to practice all of their skills with the aid of a core textbook and our elective classes focus on strengthening each student’s weaknesses. The timetable of our Focus English Elective classes is personalised for each student based on their Pre Test Results and monthly test results. For example: • Based on Eun Young’s Pre Test results she has been assigned Focused Writing and Focused Speaking elective classes. • Based on Marcelo’s Pre Test results he has been assigned Focused Reading and Focused Listening elective classes.

It is the best way to experience Australian culture, practice your English and make lasting friendships. If you are planning to study in Australia, we recommend that you take at least 4 weeks of homestay to help you adapt to the change and to give you time to look for alternate accommodation. Living with an Australian family is the best way to improve your English and make lasting friendships during your stay in Brisbane.
