B E N V E N U T I Il Grand Hotel Ortigia è ubicato a ridosso di un mare blu profondo, a due passi dalla Fonte Aretusa (...la Dea Diana sottrasse la giovane Aretusa dalle insistenze amorose del Dio Alfeo e la trasformò in fonte d'acqua...), all'interno dell'isola naturale d'Ortigia, dalla quale prende il nome, appunto. In pieno centro storico, ma non distante dalla città nuova, l'albergo, cinque stelle, è situato alla Marina di Siracusa, tanto che uscendo, a cinquanta metri, è possibile imbarcarsi per le gite organizzate e per la spiaggia dell'albergo, a Punta del Pero, che è aperta da giugno a settembre.
W E L C O M E The Grand Hotel Ortigia is close to the deep blue Mediterranean sea, very close to the Fonte Aretusa (...where it is said that the Goddess Diana saved the young Aretusa, by turning her into a well, from the advances of the God Alfeo...). The hotel is situated on the island of Ortigia, from which it takes its name. The five stars Grand Hotel Ortigia is in the old town centre but within easy walking distance of the new city and it is also near the Marina di Siracusa. Fifty meters from the hotel it is possible to board boats for the organized sea trips, the hotel beach, at Punta del Pero, which is open from June to September.

Costruito a fine Ottocento, l'edificio ha ormai cent'anni di vita e, seppure è stato completamente ristrutturato nel 1995, mantiene inalterate le originarie linee architettoniche e il fascino del suo Liberty. Al suo interno si conservano in perfetto stato le Mura Spagnole (Sala Bastione) e altri reperti archieologici nell'area cosidetta "Piccolo Museo".

Built in the late 19th century, the building is now over a hundred years old and, although it was completely restructured in 1995, it still has the original architectural lines and all the appeal of the south’s Liberty style: Inside the Spanish Walls (Sala Bastioni) and other archaeological features in the “Little Museum” area are still in perfect conditions.
