GETTING THERE & AROUND

Taipei Taoyuan International Airport, about 30 miles from city center, hosts flights from around the world across multiple airlines. Travelers have a range of options to and from the airport: taxis, metered and about a 40minute ride; car rentals; an approximately 45minute ride on Taiwan High-Speed Rail; and a 35–45-minute transfer on Metro Taipei, as well as bus and railway options. Within the city, the MRT offers fast, cool, clean and efficient service every 3–8 minutes from early morning to midnight. Yellow taxis are abundant and always use meters. Depending on the area, walking is a great option, as well.
