OSAGE — Last season was one to remember for the Osage boys basketball team. The Green Devils finished 13-3 in the Top of Iowa Conference East Division and a strong postseason run ended with a trip to the state tournament in Class 2A for Mike Brahn’s squad. Gone from that 20-5 team are top scorers Caleb Bushbaum and Collin Havel, but the Green Devils do return letterwinners Drew Olson, Lucas Schwamman, Nate Bushbaum, Ben Grimm, Garrett Maakestad, Ben Huftalin, Nick Chambers and Kraig Heckstein. “We have some spots to fill in our lineup but return a lot of experienced players we have confidence in,” Brahn said. Olson is Osage’s top returning scorer as the junior averaged 11.5 points per game. He also had 100 rebounds, 90 assists, 60 steals and blocked 17 shots for the Green Devils. Meanwhile, Bushbaum connected on 32 3-point goals last season while scoring 151 points. He also had 40 rebounds, 38 steals and 30 assists. Schwamman scored 171 points and grabbed 105 rebounds while Grimm scored 113 points and grabbed 86 rebounds while Maakestad had 57 rebounds, 57 assists and 41 steals for the Green
