Using cards and the theories of capability as a tool and approach for both research and social work and combining both is unique, well thought, creative and promising. The “translation” of a more philosophical concept into a set of cards that “talk” to children is both an experimental and fresh approach. The combination of social work and pedagogy mindset and the use of a conversational model is well done and needed when working with street connected children. Findings are used to suggest interesting and practical developments in social work practice which may help social workers to be more aware of clients’ voices, understanding them as human beings and street connected children to obtain a better life – not only in the studied area in Poland but internationally."
