More about me

Gloria Franchelli //architect

In football derby, each player knows his role. Elected to the field, the super-structure of an organized limitation. Forward training sessions, beginner matches, the genetic embodied passion, heir and hereditary, faith in genius loci, … , all those things form player characteristics and beliefs that return to him in his entire career. Conformed Athlete fill in the organical team. Autonomy in translation to Heteronomy #ImmanuelKant. A war of bodies, a fluid poly-systemic tension through the decisive Goal outcoming the roaring explosion reverberating the fans. The homogeneous philo-heteronomic organism excites. A fallen in confusion organism can astonish with the sharp end of the spear or minute mischiefs, but always it develops an active biological habitat. Parametry of chaos. A natural grassy substrate friction better than the synthetic one, tactile and olfactory scent of the grass, materiality and sensitivity, the elastic response to the dynamic running load. Strategic actions and personal evolution invested on physic and brain, the virtual vision of reasoned introspection an hyper-alternated omniscence. The Architect who collaborates in a team offers method, creativity, incisiveness of values, he gives an imprinting enucleated and divincolated by fixed laws. Trust and tenacity of fellowship, empathic sympathy are substantial. This is what I have seen recently in architecture. Always ready to amaze me. I could describe me as: Agglutinative, competitive, lean forward fascination, experimental, emotional. I don’t turn my words (omelettes) over in pan. 05

There are landscapes rich of innate or desired beauty, only imagined or built and maintained, enriched and transformed; on the other hand, a lot of landscapes are born out of the needs of their inhabitants, Spartan, less elegant, loved although simplicity of conformation and components; they persist beholder of territorial culture, building traditions, history of impressive people which mark makes a place ready to be called home. Architecture might be “less the representation of those who design and more and more the representation of those who use”. Giancarlo De Carlo

“That face had to get familiar with me, so I observed the unrevealed details of strength or weakness. Human face never lies. It’s the only territorial map where we’ve lived in.”

The Active Citizen can hand off the baton at any stage of life, converging himself through peculiar children’s curiosity and adventurousness, through adolescents’ vigorous initiatives, in adults’ familiarity with resolution, in the baggage of elderly.
