Pusong Pinoy Sa Amerika has returned with a new season on GMA Pinoy TV! Hosted by immigration lawyer Atty. Lou Tancinco and Filipino actor Eric Quizon, the awardwinning show enlightens viewers on the USA’s relevant policies and laws under President Joe Biden’s new administration. “Mga Kapuso nagbabalik na ang programang kabalikat at sandigan sa paghubog ng inyong kinabukasan sa Amerika, ito ang Pusong Pinoy sa Amerika. Samahan ninyo kami sa ating season 16 at ating talakayin ang mga bagong policies sa administrasyon ni Pangulong Joe Biden na makakatulong sa mga kababayan natin na nais manatili at manirahan sa Amerika. Magkita-kita tayong muli,” Atty. Tancinco invited Kapuso viewers.

Aside from new immigration policies, Pusong Pinoy sa Amerika tackles the legislation that bolsters the federal government’s response to hate crimes, especially against Asian-Americans. With the recent rise of anti-Asian slurs and violence during the pandemic, the show equips Filipinos abroad with proper knowledge on exercising their rights and defending themselves.

“This is an unprecedented period for the Filipino-American Community. We have seen how the COVID pandemic and the recent spate of attacks on Asian Americans have disrupted our sense of security and safety. We are grateful to work with Atty. Tancinco and PPSA to help us all navigate our current challenges as well as tap into emerging opportunities. We value our partnership with PPSA, which has found its home in GMA Pinoy TV over the last 16 years,” said GMA International’s First Vice President and Head of Operations Joseph Francia.

Since it started airing in 2006, Pusong Pinoy sa Amerika has earned several awards from prestigious international award-giving bodies across the globe including the Best Television Journalism Award from the Migration Advocacy in Media Award, and the Telly Awards for Information for the episode about DACA both in 2013. It also received the New America Media’s Award for Outstanding Reporting on Civil Liberties Issues in Ethnic Communities and the 2014 Telly Award for Documentary while in 2018, it was nominated for NAMIC Vision Award in the foreign-language category for its segment “Iba Ang Pinoy.”
