GMA Network Declares P1.215 Billion Cash Dividends Looks forward to better financial results in 2015
The Board of Directors of GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) announced the declaration of cash dividends at P0.25 centavos per share, payable on May 19, 2015 to shareholders on record as of April 24, 2015. The dividends totaling P1.215 billion represent a payout ratio of 120 percent in relation to the Company’s 2014 net income. Since its IPO in 2007, GMA has returned a total of P15.456 billion to its shareholders. “2014 was both challenging and rewarding,” said GMA Chairman and
CEO Felipe L. Gozon. “On one hand, our consolidated revenues dropped 8 percent to P11.939 billion, while net income settled at P1.010 billion primarily due to the absence of political advertisements. On the other, our efforts to efficiently manage our costs resulted in a flat operating expenses of P10.569 billion with a 7 percent reduction in our production cost without compromising the quality of our programs.” Gozon also said that he is optimistic for 2015 owing to marked improvements already seen at the onset of the year. “If the first three months are any indication, it will be a much better year for the company. Likewise, we see exciting times ahead for our viewers as we launch new, game-changing programs in the coming months,” he revealed.

ISS UE NO. 40 Kapuso Foundation in Maguindanao: APRIL 2015
Operation Bayanihan Help extended to 5,000 families
GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF) recently rolled out its Operation Bayanihan in Maguindanao, providing relief goods to 5,000 families affected by the ongoing armed conflict. The project is in partnership with Solid Shipping Lines, ARMM Heart, Department of Health-ARMM, and Department of Public Works and Highways-ARMM.
us to keep moving were the people waiting for us who needed our help,” said Nucum. When the team finally reached the evacuation center, all of the fear they felt on the road banished. “The people greeted us with a smile and it was priceless. We could never imagine how they can still manage to smile knowing that just a few kilometers from them, a war is going on,” recalled Nucum.
GMAKF was among the first to conduct relief operations in Maguindanao. In Mamasapano, relief goods were distributed to 3,320 families; 621 families in Sharif Saydona and 1,059 families in Sharif Aguak also received support from the Foundation.
“While we continue praying for the stability of our country and the safety of its people, the Foundation is also working to create a concrete and positive impact in the lives of our fellowmen,” says GMA Kapuso Foundation EVP and COO Mel C. Tiangco.
GMAKF’s team travelled for seven hours from General Santos City to Cotabato to reach the affected communities. Didith Nucum, GMAKF relief operations project staff, claimed they were stopped several times by armed men.
Despite dangers that may threaten their safety, Tiangco says that the Foundation will always be where Filipinos need help, “because that’s what bayanihan and being a Kapuso is all about.”
“We talked to them and explained our intentions. We had to rush every now and then for our safety. It wasn’t easy but what pushed
