GMA Network secures NUTAM TV ratings lead in 2011 The year 2011 was a banner year for GMA Network in terms of TV ratings as it led ABS-CBN in total day household audience share nationwide based on data from broadcast industry’s more trusted ratings service provider, Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

But based on available court records, the case was already dismissed by Presiding Judge Charito Gonzales of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) on January 7, 2008 for being prematurely filed. The Court likewise denied the Motion for Reconsideration filed by ABS-CBN in an Order dated June 8, 2009. On January 5, 2010, Atty. Maila Doroteo Santos, Branch Clerk of the Quezon City RTC, issued a Certificate of Finality which confirms the Court’s Decision on the said case as final and executory. The subsequent Petition for Relief from Judgment and Motion for Reconsideration filed by ABS-CBN have also been dismissed by the Court for substantive and procedural grounds.

GMA Network gives Yuletide treat to Aeta families By Rose-An Dioquino
Aeta families from the province of Tarlac were given an early Kapuso yuletide treat during the GMA Christmas Outreach Program on Tuesday. Organized by GMA G.I.V.E.S. (Guide Interact Volunteer Educate Serve), the program reached out to 75 persons from families in the Aeta community in Capas, Tarlac. The guests were treated to an afternoon feast with gifts, entertainment, and free medical consultation. The families were brought to the GMA Network Center in Quezon City by the Third Mechanized Infantry Battalion stationed in San Jose, Tarlac. Lt. Col. Jun Torres, battalion leader, said the coordination of the Armed Forces of the Philippines with corporations

GMA and Kapwa Ko Mahal Ko hold Christmas Party for kids with cancer GMA Network’s Corporate Affairs Division and Kapwa Ko Mahal Ko (KKMK) held a Christmas Party for children with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (cancer of the blood) last December 18 at the Network’s Executive Lounge. Around 80 kids, who are beneficiaries of KKMK’s “Batang K” program, joined the activity. Corporate Affairs enjoined select Kapuso stars to drop by and say hello to the kids... Thus, Roco Nacino, Steven Silva, Jonalyn Viray and Diva Montelaba made the party extra special for the kids. Meantime, Tonipet Gaba read a story and Ventriloquist Carlo also entertained the youngsters with his varied puppets. KKMK, with the help of donors, provide these cancer patients medicines for chemotherapy. They also organized a support group composed of parents and guardians to help the patients with their non-medical needs.
