GMA channels on OSN Pinoy Plus Extra are now available on cable TV

First Yaya stars Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez meet Kapuso fans abroad thru Pinoy Abroad Fun Connect

Last March 12, lucky Kapuso fans and international press members received a treat from GMA Pinoy TV when it hosted its first-ever Pinoy Abroad Fun Connect with “First Yaya” leading stars Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez.

“Ikinagagalak namin na maging tahanan ng First Yaya, isa sa mga pinakaabangang programa na offer natin sa mga subscribers ngayong taon. Patuloy po tayong manalig at magdasal na mapagtatagumpayan natin itong hamon na dulot ng COVID-19. Through GMA Pinoy TV, and our news and entertainment programs, sana’y mabawasan ang ating pag-aalala,“ GMA International First Vice President and Head of Operations Joseph Jerome Francia greeted.

Before the virtual hangout, Filipino foreign press from all over the world interviewed Gabby and Sanya. In a 1-hour exclusive virtual session, GMA Pinoy TV subscribers from the USA, Canada, Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Europe were invited to First Yaya’s first international fan meet. They were also joined by Kapuso Brigade members around the world who are loyal followers and supporters of GMA. Besides the Q&A, a fun trivia game was also held and the five (5) lucky winners had a VIP session with Gabby and Sanya. They also received special GMA Virtual Tours vouchers as their tickets to seeing GMA’s state-of-the-art studios and radio stations online.

Gabby, who is playing President Glenn Acosta in First Yaya, thanked his followers for the time they devoted to this special fan meet. “Maganda rin na nagsasamasama tayo. Dahil one-way lang minsan sa TV, kami lang ang nagsasalita. Ngayon, mayroon na rin chance na kayo rin ay magtanong,” he said.

“Malaking way din na ginawa natin ito dahil at least may mga panahon man na hindi tayo nagkikita ng personal, pero maganda rin po na nagkaroon ng ganito para maka-connect din sa kanila. Hiling namin ay sana ligtas kayo kung nasaan man kayo, huwag ninyong kalimutan na manood ng First Yaya dahil alam naman natin na marami tayong pinagdaan noong mga nakaraang buwan. Sana ay malagpasan natin ito at makapagbigay ang First Yaya ng saya sa inyong lahat,” Sanya added. Gabby also shared that he has surprised Sanya with smoothies and cooked meals on multiple occasions throughout their lock-in tapings. “Nagiging alalay ako niyan. Siyempre nakikita kong may dala siya, ayokong mayroon siyang dala. Ako

ang YAYO niya. Hindi siya yung yaya ko. Inaalagaan din po natin si Melody nang mabuti kaya binibigyan ko siya ng drinks to keep her healthy at hindi siya magkasakit during our taping,” he disclosed.

Sanya definitely appreciated her leading man’s sweet gestures. “Noong time na nag-uusap na kami. Mas nagiging close na kami sa isa’t isa. Ang hindi ko makakalimutan kay Kuya Gabby, yung siyempre ipinagluluto ka niya. Noong first time naming nagkita, binigyan niya ako ng pagkain,” she said.

First Yaya tells the story of the Vice President of the Philippines who will later assume the presidency and his budding romance with the nanny of his children. Joining the stellar cast are two of the promising teen stars who follow the footsteps of their celebrity parents: Cassy Legaspi, daughter of Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villaroel, and Joaquin Domagoso, son of Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso. They are paired for the first time as an on-screen love team and this series has made many firsts for them.
