Rayver Cruz is back in GMA as he signed a contract with the Kapuso Network last September 6.

Early on in his showbiz career, Rayver’s shows included Best Friends, followed by his iconic 5 and Up stint and comedy series starring Joey De Leon entitled Kiss Muna.

Rayver looked back on his early days in GMA and felt nostalgic seeing familiar faces. “Sa una medyo nahiya akong pumasok, pero nung nakita ko na yung mga tao, and winelcome nila ako tapos may mga nakita pa akong kakilala ko, na-excite na ako,” shared Rayver.

Now that he is back home, Rayver looks forward to portraying challenging roles that GMA is known for highlighting on screen. In fact, he will be starring in the upcoming Kapuso Afternoon Prime series alongside Kris Bernal and Thea Tolentino.

World Philippines 2017, and earlier this year, she represented the country in Egypt for Miss Eco International and took home the crown. GMA Network kept its dominance in the nationwide television ratings competition based on the latest data from Nielsen TV Audience Measurement, the industry’s widely-trusted ratings service provider. From August 1 to 31 (with August 26 to 31 based on overnight data), the Kapuso Network registered an average total day people audience share of 42.6 percent in the National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM), beating ABSCBN’s 36.2 percent. Viewers continued to prefer GMA more than its rival network as the Network widened its lead anew across all day parts. In the morning block, GMA garnered 38.9 percent people audience share versus ABSCBN’s 34.2 percent.

GMA’s biggest lead was in the afternoon block as it tallied a 44.3 percent audience share, which toppled ABS-CBN’s 34.9 percent.

Continuing well in the evening block, GMA posted an average of 43 percent as against ABS-CBN’s 37.9 percent. The Kapuso Network also remained as the ratings frontrunner in the viewer-rich areas of Urban Luzon and Mega Manila, which respectively account for 72 and 59 percent of all urban viewers in the country.

Solenn Heussaff's Jam-packed surprises in Canada Solenn Heussaff graced the ‘Wika at Kulturang Pinoy Festival’ last August 30 at the Thorncliffe Community Center, Calgary in Alberta, Canada. The whole day event, organized by the Pinoy Times Entertainment, aimed to unite the Filipino community via an OPM singing contest, Paligsahan sa Pagbabaybay, Timpalak sa Balagtasan, Filipiniana dance competition, and an English to Filipino translation match.

LUCOMM’s event dubbed ‘Food Trip: A Taste of Home, Year 3!’ at the Tyndall Park Community Center. Solenn also joined the two-day festival of Pinoy recipes which featured various food stalls, cook-offs and an eating challenge.

Solenn concluded her Canadian tour in Vancouver at the ‘Taiwan Fest Fete with the Philippines 2018’ last September 2 at the Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza. GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF), GMA Network’s socio-civic arm, inked a partnership with Mariwasa Siam Ceramics, Inc., a premier ceramic tile producer in the Philippines and Asia, in support to GMAKF’s Rebuild Marawi Project. Under the partnership which was signed on August 24, Mariwasa Siam is providing ceramic tiles for the schools that GMAKF is rebuilding and rehabilitating in the war-torn Marawi City.

Buranawit expressed his appreciation to GMAKF for continuously bringing help where it is needed the most. “We are very glad that GMA Kapuso Foundation allowed us to also become a part of this meaningful project to help Filipinos in need, especially the children in Marawi. We do hope that we can work again together in the future,” he added. Under GMAKF’s Rebuild Marawi Project, a total of 10 (ten) classrooms are currently being rebuilt and rehabilitated at Pendolonan Elementary School and Camp Bagong Amai Pakpak Elementary School in Marawi City.
