chocolate syrup. Oh, so yummy. For a really fabulous start, try The Boss’s Old Fashioned, an inventive drink that’s smoked with cherrywood right in front of you. Along with Woodford Reserve bourbon, sugar, two types of bitters and a splash of soda, the fragrance is an integral ingredient.

Please order the ketchup-spiced house potato chips and dip—the house-made chips have an incredible flavor, as does the pepper jack cheese fondue, and that flavor certainly belies the simplicity of the dish. To wow the whole table, order Jack Binion’s colossal seafood tower, a beautifully built edifice constructed with the freshest seafood available.

The signature Bloody Mary Shaken & Stirred wedge salad comes with a vinaigrette, which is shaken tableside by your server. It looks like a Bloody Mary, and the flavor is much like the drink—it’s even served with accoutrements like blue cheese-stuffed olives, bacon and fried green tomato.

Jack Binion’s Steak’s signature entrées, like slow-roasted prime rib in three sizes, trés tender filet mignon, and wagyu rib cap, can be enhanced by lump crab, shrimp scampi or a decadent lobster tail, plus sauces from chimichurri to béarnaise.

Other classic steakhouse dishes like rotisserie chicken and scallops are sure to leave you fully satisfied. The half chicken comes with bourbon barbecue baked beans, an excellent accompaniment. Black pepper cream shrimp is exactly what is sounds like, and the polenta cake it is served with is a welcome addition.

There are plenty of sides to round out any corners you might have, from Jack Binion’s baked potato (a massive spud with a boatload of toppings) to ranch-spiced onion strings.

Should you have dessert? Yes—yes you should! Crème brûlée, banana cream pie and cheesecake will tempt you, but the apple cobbler is delish, served with a sweet biscuit and ice cream. And the chocolate layer cake is enormous! It’s a decadent slice, covered in chocolate buttercream frosting with pretzel streusel and a bourbon white chocolate sauce. It’s best shared, but you might have to forego the cobbler then, and that would be a tragedy. Order both.
