What a great week you picked to visit Las Vegas! This week’s issue is packed with so much variety, you won’t know where to start. Much of your starting point for this week might depend on your mood, so with that in mind, let’s explore:

Hungry? Indulge in a Revealing Look

Make your experience at this adults-only revue even more exhilarating with VIP ticket

The women of Fantasy: The Strip’s Sexiest Tease might be the most visible entertainers on the Strip, and not just because removal of clothing onstage is part of their job description. If you get around Las Vegas Boulevard enough, there’s a chance you might see them representing their show at pool parties, grand openings and special events, or in casinos as they make their way to their destinations. (They tend to stand out from the crowd.)

Alas, some Las Vegas visitors are not fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time. Until recently on most nights they had to wait until 10:30 p.m. to catch one of the nightly performances of sensuous sirens such as girl-next-door Mariah, statuesque Soolin and gorgeous Gigi as they tease and strip in producer/choreographer Anita Mann’s long-running neo-burlesque dance revue. Even superfans of the show had to settle for admiration from afar.

Fantasy: The Strip’s Sexiest Tease now provides the solution for audience members looking for a little extra with a peek-behind-thecurtains option for aspiring superfans. The Fantasy VIP Experience provides an opportunity to meet a pair of cast members, who guide participating guests on a showroom tour that includes a pre-show photo opportunity, backstage footage, and a bag of merchandise.

The meet-and-greets Fantasy offers after every show remain part of the program, although the time spent basking in the glow of angelic Ashton, ravishing Rachael or sensuous Yesi is fleeting. The Fantasy VIP Experience allows a more casual option for exchanging words and getting that perfect picture with bombshell Abby, superstar Skyla or incomparable Indira.

Backstage access at the Atrium Showroom is prohibited, as it is very prop-heavy—the showroom also hosts Carrot Top, who uses dozens of props in his 8 p.m. shows. Fantasy has props too, including a bed for a romp-in-the-sheets act. But the show is all about the dancers, who are goddesses onstage but very human when it comes to fan interaction.

Robot combatants vie for victory inside the arena

It’s knives out! And hammers and claws! And all sorts of implements that might be deadly to humans! It’s BattleBots Destruct-A-Thon! In this incredibly exciting evening of robotic mayhem at Caesars Entertainment Studios at Horseshoe Las Vegas, you’ll find a whole cast of machines from throughout the history of the hit TV series, fighting for dominance.

The matchups vary from night to night, pitting Whiplash, Tazbot, Ginsu, Diablo, Chopper, Bronco, Overkill, Mammoth, Kraken, Malice, Witch Doctor, Hypershock and Nightmare against one another (although not all fight each night). Each bot has its own backing and hype team, and trash talk before each match is common (and hilarious). Bill Dwyer and Steve Judkins take hosting duties, and give you all the info on the bots.

Before the matches, watch highlights of each bot’s previous TV glory on screens around the arena. In that huge arena, constructed of thickened glass on all sides to keep spectators from injury, a number of pitfalls surround the floor (like enormous hammers, smacking

down randomly, and saw blades emerging from the floor). Then, the machine is guided out to fighting position, and away they go, with the operators trying to flip, cut and smash the opponent. There’s a fair bit of strategy, with robots trying to drive the others into the pitfalls.

Grandstand seating stretches the length of each side of the arena, with Platinum club seating at the end, opposite the robot entrance area. You’ll have a good view of the arena no matter where you are sitting, though. There’s merch, snacks and drinks to be had, too, and it’s all family friendly. Parking is available off Flamingo Avenue. (Due to construction, the entrance from Koval Lane is not available.)

If you are thinking about a return trip to Vegas, you might want to check out the BattleBots Proving Ground, where rookies get a chance for battle, and vets can try out new weapons. Those matches occur during regular shows on selected nights. –Nina King

Cool off inside the newest drinking spot inside Harrah’s, The Lounge Located in the heart of the property, the welcoming, semi-private space is filled with comfortable seating options on cushy sofas and club chairs, and the modern design and muted colors of greens, grays and soft whites gives off a relaxed, upscale vibe.

around the lounge, have the bartender whip up one of the handcrafted, specialty cocktails like the Cabaret Star with Casamigos reposado tequila, La Marca Prosecco, passion fruit purée, fresh lime juice and vanilla syrup. Fabulous Feast

Over-the-top presentations turn dinner into an experience at Caesars Palace

Think of a meal at Stanton Social Prime as dinner and a show— not the traditional type, mind you, but still one where you are constantly entertained. Everything at Chris Santos’ restaurant is designed to stimulate your senses, from décor and service to menu and ambience. It’s next-level dining that is sure to generate plenty of buzz among foodies of every stripe.

Everything here is meant to be shared, which ranges from starters and steaks to desserts, and presentation is always a priority. It even extends to the cocktails—order the Where There’s Oak and you’ll be delivered a metal-and-glass box, in which your Old-Fashioned is being smoked to perfection. And that’s just the beginning.

Starters like tomato tartare are small, delicious works of art, all topped with a quail egg, while prime filet carpaccio, pictured, gets a lemon-thyme brown butter drizzle for a real flavor zing. Steak tartare lovers will absolutely flip for the wagyu filet steak tartare, served on top of a hot and crispy Comté cheese“quesadilla”—it’s almost like a pizza!

Steak selections include Kobe A5 and the 64-ounce super tomahawk, the latter of which makes for a truly unforgettable “show”: A server wheels it by your table, hanging from a hook and surrounded by tiny lights. A cognac flambé is poured over the steak, making for a great show for everyone in the room, as well as adding tons of flavor to the meat.

In addition to steaks, Stanton has great fish and chicken options, from the whole grilled branzino, served with saffron caramelized fennel and leeks, to a huge chicken Parmigiana.

The showmanship continues with dessert. You might wonder how in the world you are going to share the strawberry blond “milkshake”—until you realize it’s actually a vanilla sponge cake, flavored with strawberry mousse and Chantilly cream. And wait until you get a look at the height of the toasted meringue atop the key lime pie. –

High Steaks

Indulge in fine foods and a comfortable atmosphere

Everything about Barry’s Downtown Prime at Circa Resort & Casino makes you feel comfortable, from the dark woods to cushy booths and leather chairs, all lit with pendant lighting and chandeliers overhead. It all evokes an old steakhouse feel while still maintaining some modern touches.

Appetizers are a must at Barry’s, with a wild combination of flavors in delights like a bone marrow luge atop a bed of fettuccine Alfredo topped with Parmigiano Reggiano, truffle butter and Madeira wine. If you want to keep the beef theme going, it doesn’t get much better—or eye-catching—than the 46-ounce Mishima Reserve tomahawk ribeye, sourced from Mishima Reserve Farms in Seattle. This baby will serve the entire table, and don’t forget to add on sides like George’s Cream Corn, tater tots topped with aged cheddar cheese, crispy bacon and scallions, and whole Maine lobster mac ’n’ cheese, served in a hollowed-out lobster tail.

If you’re more of a seafood fan, the Dover sole is a treat for both the eyes and tastebuds, sautéed and served with baby gulf shrimp, lemon and butter sauce. And the “organic” fire chicken, accompanied by sliced red Fresno chilis, jalapeños, lemon and rosemary au jus, is rich and delicious, and one of the best versions in all of downtown.

Still hungry? Get out your phone, activate “video” and experience the Tahitian baked Alaska, surrounded by an Italian meringue and fired up at your table with a brandy flambé. Slice through to reveal layers of chocolate, Tahitian vanilla and strawberry ice cream. –Ken

Turn on the Charm

Take in the view from this great date spot

Be romantic and take your sweetie to a new high—46 stories high—at the longtime favorite Las Vegas attraction the Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck . Although this version of the real deal in France is only a halfscale replica, it is full-sized fun.

You’re whisked up an elevator with glass panels so you can see your ascent to more than 500 feet. Once at the top, get ready for some open-air amazement. Spend time

walking around the top of the Eiffel Tower to get beautiful views of the Strip below and snap some pictures together with backdrops like the Bellagio fountains or the sprawling mountains beyond. Make it extra special by booking your tickets for a sunset or night trip.

Once back down on the ground, take a stroll outside of Paris to the Strip and check out the Eiffel Tower’s nightly light show inspired by

the Paris original. The five-minute show occurs every 30 minutes from sunset to midnight. The tower is lit in red, white and blue by hundreds of colored lights that cascade up and down the tower while hundreds of strobe lights flash on and off.

So, although you’re in Las Vegas, take a detour to Paris and find a little slice of romance. –Ken

Dip Into Summer

Because every Vegas vacation should include a dayclub experience

There are things you should always have on your Las Vegas bucket list: a celebrity chef restaurant, a big production show, a world-class nightclub, shopping and one day of day-partying at what this city made famous—a dayclub! It’s like partying at a nightclub but under the sun, and since it’s hot, hot, hot, what better way to spend the day than in the pool? We’ve hooked you up with where to party, so jump on in!

The views from Drai’s Beachclub at The Cromwell are pretty sick—the rooftop venue is lined with towering palm trees and sightlines up and down Las Vegas Boulevard. All guests have access to the two main pools, but those guests who book the posh cabanas have their own dipping pool. On Sundays, enjoy Drai’s popular Latin music party, Carnaval, with special sets by Awsumo on Aug. 6 and DJ Hardbox on

Aug. 13. DJ Maria Romano performs Aug. 11, and TIP, also known as rap artist T.I., takes the outdoor stage for a special performance on Aug. 12.

Another rooftop dayclub, Marquee Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan, books some of the biggest names to its roster of DJs, and this week is no exception. Check out Stephi K on Aug. 10, Justin Credible on Aug. 11 and DJ Pauly D on Aug. 12. The dayclub also hosts Drenched After

Dark, a weekly event every Sunday at the pool that allows guests to swim under the stars; this week, Aug. 6, Beatbreaker performs.

For beautiful bohemian, Asian-inspired vibes, head to Tao Beach Dayclub at The Venetian. The huge space is lush and tropical with beautifully appointed cabanas and daybeds. Taking the stage this week is a special performance by rap artist Nelly on Aug. 6, followed by Sidepiece on Aug. 11 and Illenium on Aug. 12. More island-inspired surroundings can be found at Ayu Dayclub at Resorts World. This outdoor oasis, inspired by the islands of Southeast Asia, offers two levels of cabanas and top DJ talent to keep partiers dancing. This week welcomes Cash Cash Aug. 6, Cheat Codes Aug. 11 and Kaskade Aug. 12.

And everyone should visit the city’s longest-running dayclub, Wet Republic at MGM Grand, at least once—not only for its massive and innovative audiovisual production capabilities and wild party mode, but also for its awesome DJ lineup throughout the season. This week includes Above & Beyond on Aug. 6, Mike Attack on Aug. 11, and Martin Garrix with Justin Mylo on Aug. 12.

For some LGBTQ+ dayclub fun, two pool parties pop off every weekend: The long-running and first gay pool party on the Las Vegas Strip, Temptation Sundays at Luxor; and the official Pride pool party, Elevate at Sahara Las Vegas, every Saturday. Both parties offer colorful décor, drag queens, DJs and musical performances—and most important, all are welcome.

If you happen to be downtown, we suggest you check out a massive pool club that has no other equal in the city— Stadium Swim at Circa Resort & Casino. This 21-and-over pool club offers six pools across three levels, table games, tons of cabanas, daybeds and loungers, live DJs and a towering 40-foot tall high-definition screen. Friends With Benefits

Devin Bennett

Bartender goes from green to great!

Devin Bennett, lead bartender at 1923

Prohibition Bar at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, likes to say that he “fell into the industry.” After serving 10 years in the Air Force, he moved to Las Vegas in 2014 to take a security job at a local bar. When the bar permanently closed, the owners asked if he’d like to take a barback position at their other establishment, 1923.

“I had no idea what a barback was, but that was how I got introduced to the industry; that’s how I fell into bartending,” says the Arizona native.

That was in 2015, and today Bennett has sharpened his skills so much that he now heads up the bar and lounge that immerses guests into the Prohibition era. “I was green so I didn’t know anything,” he says. “So I started off as the barback, (to) see how I liked it. I ended up loving it and I’m always learning and growing and taking advice. Don’t ever be that bartender that knows everything. If you’re not asking questions, you’re not growing. Just because I’m the lead bartender now doesn’t mean I don’t listen to my other bartend-

• Libation • Sour Patch

Try out one of Bennett’s newest creations, and one of his personal faves, the Sour Patch. The martini-style cocktail is a mix of Wild Turkey bourbon, Giffard Pamplemousse liqueur, simple syrup, lemon juice and egg whites, garnished with a Sour Patch Kid candy and a cabernet stencil of the bar’s logo. –KM

ers. I listen to all my bartenders; that’s what makes a good lead bartender.”

Bennett also helps create the cocktail program at 1923. He spent the past year putting together a new menu, which was just released with 21 new specialty cocktails.

“I love creating cocktails,” he says. “Who knew this is what I’d be doing for a career? It’s been a wild ride. I never thought I’d be here. Everything happens for a reason, though. Who wouldn’t be happy being a bartender on the Las Vegas Strip?” –Kiko Miyasato

Have a tasty drink,

in MGM Grand has been a go-to spot to hang out and enjoy a drink or two while enjoying a great meal. That hasn’t changed a whit.

Michael and Jenna Morton’s eatery channels a garden patio with a Mediterranean vibe, with greenery and eclectic groupings of seating, creating separate dining areas, scattered throughout. Overhead, a wooden plank ceiling contributes to the natural feel.

If you’ve time (and you need to make time if you don’t), indulge in a drink at the bar before dinner. Crush’s signature specialty cocktail, Punch Drunk Love, has been a longtime favorite, with mint-infused Spring 44 gin mixed with sparkling pink grapefruit juice and fresh lime juice, creating a light sip. You can get this for large groups, too. Other groupstyle cocktails include the tableside espresso martini with Booze Brothers vodka and JF Haden’s espresso liqueur, so if you all want to try, no problem! Crush also o ers really nice beers and a good-sized spirits section, if you want a little sip or two to take to your table.

If you are with that group, order several starters to whet the appetite, including: Short rib tacos with pickled red onions; crispy shrimp that rocks Cajun flavors; cheesesteak dumplings with cheese fondue and an onion purée; or the heirloom tomato with burrata, a balsamic glaze and pesto. If that’s not quite enough, there are several varieties of pizza to try— margherita, Italian sausage, artisan pepperoni and grilled chicken with roasted garlic.

Once you get to the mains, you’ll be primed for even more good stu , all refined under the eye of corporate executive chef William Demarco. Chicken fettuccine gets a pop with the addition of Spanish chorizo, while ricotta gnocchi comes covered in

braised short rib. On the lighter side is grilled salmon with beech mushrooms in carrot miso broth or Chilean sea bass with tomato chutney.

Beef lovers can rope in an 8-ounce Angus burger with applewood bacon and Vermont cheddar, a 12-ounce charred New York sirloin steak with tru e mashed potatoes or a more delicate 8-ounce filet mignon with blue cheese fondue.

Finish the meal o sweetly with tiramisu, a classic, always delicious concoction or the chocolate mousse cake, with three layers of chi on cake and milk chocolate mousse. But the Nutella Squeeze might end up being your favorite. It’s an ice cream sandwich with Nutella cream and caramelized hazelnuts. Joy, joy.

Engage your palate and your mind at Cabinet of Curiosities Bar and Lounge

To find the Cabinet of Curiosities Bar and Lounge, head down an escalator from the casino floor, where you’ll also find REAL BODIES at Horseshoe Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Monorail Horseshoe/Paris monorail station. Traffic is brisk and constant, giving the

cocktail lounge decorated with small antiques, bric-a-brac and objets d’art a high level of exposure.

It’s a destination, though, with most visitors having heard about the Cabinet’s inner sanctum and not-sosecret speakeasy, The Lock.

Anyone 21-plus can walk into the Cabinet beginning at noon daily and get signature craft cocktails, top-shelf tequila or off-menu improvisations. Revealing a predilection for bourbon may inspire mixologist Caylor (we’re on a first-name basis here) to concoct

an Old-Fashioned variation, made with Skrewball peanut butter whiskey, that tastes like a dessert. Signature drinks include Curious Cosmopolitans, Pink Stone Eggs, Berry Dreamies and Flea Market Martinis, but the most popular menu item is the bourbon-based Festival of Lights homage to flying lantern festivals.

The drink menu is accessible via QR code, as is an online catalog of the curios. Peruse the collection before entering The Lock: Punch a tag number into a smartphone and learn a little about the Authentic Animal Teeth Necklaces (No. 1323), Mystical Typewriter (No. 4381), Carved Figural Mask (No. 8181) and Carved Soapstone Cats (No. 1629). The result may be an indescribably delicious bourbon concoction or whiskey sour infused with banana that creates a frothy surface for mixologist Gabby to drizzle syrup on the three-cherry garnish before dropping it in the glass. Take that drink and look closely at the walls for signs of another passageway, another door to the inner sanctum’s inner sanctum.

The outer entrance of The Lock (which requires a reservation) looks like a wall safe, with confirmation made through an adjacent, old-fashioned phone. Once giving the password and entering a vestibule, the 2020s gives way to the 1920s, and a puzzle must be solved to get the access code. Remember to pay close attention to details of the door host’s bootlegger stories.

The Lock sends visitors back a century with brick walls, vintage ceiling tile and Charlie Chaplin movies

That room is furnished with more comfy chairs and walls festooned with illuminated paintings depicting scenes and figures of the Renaissance and Enlightenment eras. A mirrored ceiling creates an infinity effect, and the sound system is Bluetooth-accessible, so guests can play music from phones.

There are other speakeasies in Las Vegas, but there are no other speakeasies with a room like this. The Cabinet of Curiosities Bar and Lounge and The Lock are escape rooms of a different kind where one can relax, reset and experience an atmosphere truly unlike any other on the Strip.

New-wave band Greta Van Fleet brings old-school rock vibes to the Strip

Since the 2017 release of its debut EP, From the Fires, Greta Van Fleet has breathed life into the New Wave of Classic Rock movement, which has been on the rise as retro rock comes back in style. The Frankenmuth, Mich.born quartet is known for garage band tunes that hark back to ’70s sounds, but with a third studio album exciting fans all over again, the band continues to prove it has something special.

With three brothers, Josh, Jake and Sam Kiszka and friend Daniel Wagner, Greta Van Fleet drew early recognition as “the band that sounds like Led Zeppelin,” and while Josh’s powerhouse vocals make the comparison obvious, the band’s entire discography is drenched in classic rock influences. Riffs from Jake’s guitar, rhythms from Sam’s bass and beats from Wagner’s drums create rich noise in ways that satisfy rock fans across generations.

The band’s latest album and namesake for its current tour, Starcatcher, returns to the band’s stripped-down roots on the heels of its previous The Battle at Garden’s Gate, which explored a more technically impressive collection

34 | 8.6.23 Las Vegas Magazine

of bluesy music. Recently released, Starcatcher plays with fantastical themes while maintaining a more raw studio sound.

“We had this idea that we wanted to tell these stories to build a universe,” Wagner said in a news release. “We wanted to introduce characters and motifs and these ideas that would come about here and there throughout our careers through this world.”

Known for not only the sounds but also the visuals of its shows, the group has sold more than a million tickets worldwide and sold out its entire 2022 arena tour, Dreams in Gold. Complete with detailed wardrobe, phenomenal lighting design and explosive pyrotechnics, the Dreams in Gold tour made one thing clear: These are performers worth seeing, especially when they are indulging in their own creativity, like they seem to be doing for Starcatcher

GVF’s commitment to displaying its entire artistic vision in detail drives the band to break boundaries of what is expected of young people who are known to wear their influences on their sleeves. At its core, GVF brings together four musicians who are creating incredibly exciting sounds, inspired by the ones that influenced them. In doing so, not only does the group produce music that tickles the ears of new school listeners, but also pays homage to rock ’n’ roll’s greats in a way that classic rock fans can surely appreciate.

Check out these hot spots to eat, drink and be merry

Put on your walking shoes when you enter MGM Grand; this resort and casino is one of the largest on the Las Vegas Strip, and since opening in 1993, it continues to add to its bountiful offerings.

When you’re not spending that cash across the 170,000 square feet of gaming space, how do you choose where to hang

when there’s more than two dozen places to eat, tons of drinking options, the city’s longest-running dayclub, the world’s most-renowned DJ nightclub residencies, and a laundry list of shows to choose from? We’ve got you! We’ve narrowed down the list to three of our top spots for food, drink and fun.

When Hakkasan opened its doors a decade ago, the sheer size of the venue wowed Las Vegas crowds— five floors of dining, dancing and lounging. While the upper levels hold the nightclub and lounge spaces, the bottom floor is the restaurant, a long-loved,

upscale hot spot for reimagined Chinese cuisine. The simply beautiful space is the perfect setting for a night of delightful eats like the treasured dim sum, signature Peking duck (the crispy duck salad has become a staple of the Strip) and large, shareable plates of seafood, meats and vegan options. Speaking of vegan, it’s not on the menu, but ask for the vegan chicken—it’s the best you’ll ever have, and you can get it with your choice of sauce (black pepper, general Tsao or black bean). Other helpful tips: Hakkasan offers its own valet service right near the venue, and if you dine at the restaurant, show your receipt to the host and you’ll receive expedited entry into the nightclub!

When Jabbawockeez took the crown as the top dance crew on the first season of MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew in 2008, it was only a matter of time before their white-mask-wearing, bust-a-move act would blow up and place them in Las Vegas as the first dance crew to have its own production show on the Strip. The Jabbawockeez show is a mix of some of the dopest music (if you’re a fan of ’80s and ’90s hip-hop and pop, you’ll love this!), mind-boggling physicality, laugh-outloud comedy and high-tech audiovisuals.

The show is perfect for both families and adults and offers an awesome meet-andgreet option where you can pose for pics with the crew for your social media, as well as get a gift bag of swag and autographed items.

Why just sit and drink when you can drink and play? At Level Up, gaming and cocktails combine in perfect harmony. Grab a drink and play the latest arcade games, win a

prize with the giant claw, take a turn at pool, foosball or shuffleboard, or go on a virtual reality adventure inside the Zero Latency VR arena. Happy hour is Monday through Thursday from 3-7 p.m. with specials like $5 shots, $5 brown-bag beers and $8 specialty cocktails. Every night beginning around 9 p.m., Level Up features live music, too, with its popular ’80s Night on Mondays, Latin Night on Saturdays and country bands on Tuesdays. On Sundays, jump onstage yourself for live band karaoke.

Katy Perry comes back to ‘Play’ after a balance-restoring break

Katy Perry is taking her 20-foot toilet and leaving Las Vegas, at least until her next headlining concept. She told People in June that the orange stage commode is “going bye-bye,” but did not go so far as to say she was breaking up with Vegas. She is, however, returning to her current residency, Play, after completing a three-month sobriety pact with fiancé Orlando Bloom, meant to give both halves of the power couple resets and fresh approaches to their respective performances.

While Bloom planned to apply the benefits of his cleanse to a shoot in London, Perry wanted to “let her body bounce back a little bit” and restore balance. She has her own nonalcoholic brand of aperitifs, De Soi, to satisfy her need for crisp, sparkling beverages, but doesn’t need much more motivation to stay sober with both a hit Strip show and toddler to take care of. She’s optimizing her health and maximizing physical functionality. That’s good news for superfan KatyCats who return to Resorts

World Las Vegas to catch Play before the curtain closes on the final show in November. Her No. 1 KatyCat, daughter Daisy Dove, has been known to stay for the first three acts, so the pressure is on mom to be on point. At 38, Perry has left her hangover days behind her.

Eating well, preshow workouts and meditation were already part of her backstage routine prior to the pact. She gives her all in what she’s called the most physically grueling production she’s ever put together. From Teen-

ageDream track “E.T.” to pre-encore number “Roar,” Perry is a whirlwind of dancing, singing and costume changes.

She’ll need a break before planning her next moves, which will include curating song ideas she’s accumulated since her 2020 album, Smile, and coming up with a concept for the next tour that contrasts with Play. The costumes will be packed up, along with the toilet, which will be stored, until Perry is moved to create a museum collection featuring iconic props and wardrobe from throughout her career.

For now, she’s a living exhibit in a five-act show where one set is a forest of magic mushrooms. Perry dons a glossy red latex bodysuit topped with a mushroom-cap hat during that act, wears a black-and-white tassel-enhanced wrap dress with thigh-high boots and elbow gloves during “California Gurls,” a beer-can themed minidress that dispenses brew from her bosom, and a pink-and-white paean to Barbie that Perry was wearing onstage well before audiences got their first glimpses of Margot Robbie starring as Mattel’s most popular doll.

Perry seems happy to be Bloom’s favorite doll, and is demonstrating that she has successfully found balance between show business and family. A break will ensure she’s more available during her daughter’s crucial preschool stage as the experience of being a mom informs both her songwriting and tastes that inspire set designs. Now is the time for Perry to direct that reset energy into “Dark Horse,” “Waking Up In Vegas” and “I Kissed a Girl” before the next act begins.

Ridges home in Summerlin has everything you could ever want Natural Luxury

Las Vegas is home to many luxurious master-planned communities, ones that offer the highest-quality homes, amenities and spectacular views of the valley and its surroundings. (One thing you quickly learn about buying homes here: Views come at a premium.)

One of the best examples of these is The Ridges in Summerlin, a guard-gated, master-planned community close to Red Rock Conservation Area. And a property has recently become available there, one that blends natural stone elegance with modern minimalist design

in an expansive, luxurious space perfect for large families.

This two-story stunner, listed by Ivan Sher of IS LUXURY, has six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms across its 12,658 square feet, not to mention a 12-car garage that also features an indoor basketball court

and game area. The home has all the latest technology, including home automation and a personal gated driveway.

The architectural detail here is beyond compare, featuring ample amounts of natural light streaming in through large windows and sliders that help blur the line between indoors and outdoors. Elsewhere, you’ll find plenty of stone walls and shower slabs made from natural stone that contrast with the sharp, angular lines throughout the space.

There’s plenty to look at throughout this home, but the highlight is definitely the kitchen, featuring top-of-the-line appliances, contemporary cabinetry imported from Germany, and an enormous quartz island countertop. The bathroom vanity cabinets are also from Germany, and elsewhere in the bedrooms, you’ll find “made-in-Italy” closet creations.

Other highlights include a salon area with a wellness spa (complete with a steam and sauna), an elevator,

fireplaces, stone walls, and shower slabs made from natural stone, adding to the home’s luxurious feel.

The backyard is really an oasis like no other, containing everything from a custom-covered outdoor kitchen area and pickleball court to a pool and hot tub, all surrounded by lush landscaping and great views. Welcome home! –Ken
