Lasting Memories

Longevity and Las Vegas don’t always go hand in hand. This is a city where the newest thing typically means the destruction of an old thing, and restaurateurs and show producers will be the fi rst to tell you: It’s hard making anything last in Las Vegas. So whenever something shows proven staying power in this town, it’s cause for celebration, and that’s what this issue of Las Vegas Magazine is focusing on this week.

We start with Rod Stewart, who has been packing houses at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for almost 15 years. His residency was scheduled to end last year, but, lucky for us, he’s added an encore set of dates (“Forever Young,” p. 30). If you haven’t gotten a chance to see his Strip production, get your tickets now!

Then it’s onto Cirque du Soleil’s magnificent production KÀ at MGM Grand, which celebrates its 20th year of making audiences gasp in awe while telling a timeless tale of war, loss and forgiveness in the inimitable Cirque style (“Bon Anniversaire,” p. 32).

One of the premier attractions in town for both families and partiers alike, High Roller at The Linq Promenade has been o ering unforgettable views and experiences for more than a decade (“Evolution Revolution,” p. 18).

But while we love showering love on some of our long-lasting o erings, we also love featuring some of those aforementioned shiny new things. Over at Caesars Palace, Caspian’s Rock & Roe is one of the most unique spots on the Strip, combining caviar with world-class cocktails and a speakeasy (“Welcome to the Caviar Party!” p. 24). And Gordon Ramsay’s latest addition to his empire just opened at Flamingo: Gordon Ramsay Burger (“Handheld Happiness,” p. 20).

Where Do You Start?

Cheesecake may be the star at this East Coast outpost, but it’s joined by ample breakfast, lunch and dinner options

One of the most well-known restaurants on the East Coast, Junior’s, is said to possibly have the nation’s best cheesecake. It’s also a favorite for the diner classics you can find there, including a range of egg-forward dishes that will satisfy your need for comfort food.

At breakfast, you’ll find two-egg platters with home fries, grits or sliced tomato, toast and bacon, ham or sausage; omelet favorites like cheese, spinach and mushroom, and a Western variety with pepper, onions and ham. But you’ll also find pastrami and corned beef varieties as well. A classic eggs Benedict, smoked salmon Benedict, eggs Florentine and corned beef hash with poached eggs join avocado toast with a sunny-side up egg and the ultra-classic steak and eggs, featuring a 6-ounce New York strip steak.

The goodness just goes on and on from there, with French toast, griddlecakes and brunch cocktails like the Junior’s Bloody Mary, mimosas with fresh squeezed juice, and coffee cocktails including the espresso martini with Belvedere vodka and Kahlua, and the Irish coffee with Jameson Irish whiskey, coffee, Demerara syrup, heavy cream and cinnamon.

Junior’s offers an all-day menu to cover your needs at lunch and supper, with everything from disco fries to matzoh ball soup, potato cakes and cheese blintzes starting you off. There are plenty of salads to choose from, including Greek salad and BBQ chicken salad, and a huge range of burgers and sandwiches like turkey, corned beef, pastrami and egg salad BLT, the Something Different, with beef brisket on potato pancakes, and a corned beef and pastrami combo, with two sandwiches on onion rolls. All the “steakburgers” are 10-ounce charbroiled patties. And dinner sports classics like chicken Parmigiana, roast turkey, fish and chips, barbecue ribs and chicken, and Hungarian beef goulash.

And saving space for dessert is an absolute must—the cheesecake varieties are simply to die for. Red velvet cheesecake, carrot cheesecake, brownie explosion cheesecake and the classic original are all waiting for you, but chocolate fudge layer cake and the strawberry cheese pie might be more your style. No matter your choice, it’s bound to be the right one. –Nina King Resorts

Baking Up Laughs

Veteran stand-up comedian brings his love of food, family and the human condition to the Strip

Whether you’re thinking about starting a family or have already done so, Tom Papa’s comedy is definitely for you. The veteran stand-up comedian directly reflects the human condition as regards the American dream: Always being happy, getting along with everyone, being a law-abiding citizen, taking care of your body and, yes, raising children. Is he always perfect at any of these? Absolutely not. But neither is anyone else in America, and that makes Papa’s material immediately relatable—and extremely funny.

In case you’re not already sold on this man’s upcoming shows on the Las Vegas Strip, know this: He’s also a big fan of eating. And he’s an even bigger fan of talking about eating. If you doubt us, check out his weekly podcast, Breaking Bread with Tom Papa, in which he and a guest spend the entire time enjoying a meal while talking about … well, just about anything. Oh, and did we mention that his current tour is called The Grateful Bread Tour ?

Podcasting is just the tip of the Papa iceberg. The man of many talents is also an author, writing three books, the titles of which hint at his

unique sense of humor (as well as his love of punctuation): Dad Stole My Rake: And Other Family Dilemmas; You’re Doing Great!—And Other Reasons to Stay Alive ; and We’re All In This Together … So Make Some Room. As with his live shows, Papa’s goal with these works is to help us all find common ground, even if that common ground is sometimes stupidity. Odds are you might have seen him on TV and in movies, as he’s also an accomplished actor, with career highlights including movies like The Informant!, Analyze That and Behind the Candelabra and TV shows like The New Adventures of Old Christine and The Marriage Ref (which he hosted).

But ultimately it’s Papa’s standup where the man is truly in his element. That earlier mention of raising kids? Well, Papa recently sent his last off to college, and as he proved with his last Netflix special, Home Free, the man shows that his life—and his comedy career—are just beginning. —Ken Miller

Turn It Up!

Legendary glam band is ready to rock downtown

In the early 1970s, I practically wore out my turntable playing one song over and over: “Little Willy” from the band Sweet Decades later, this ditty from the British glam band that helped define the era still comes back into my head, its hooks firmly embedded in my subconscious. But that’s only the beginning of the irresistible music this group produced from the late-’60s into the ’80s.

Started by lead vocalist Brian Connolly, bassist Steve Priest, guitarist Andy Scott

and drummer Mick Tucker and originally calling itself The Sweet, the group proceeded to produce 13 Top 20 hits in the ’70s, including the aforementioned song, “Hell Raiser,” “The Ballroom Blitz,” “Turn It Down,” “Fox on the Run” and “Love Is Like Oxygen,” each song earning endless radio play with the group’s signature blend of both bubblegum pop and the slightest edge of hard rock. Their influence is wide-ranging, from KISS and Boy George to Guns N’ Roses.

Priest would go on to form his own version of Sweet, and even though he passed away in 2020, the current lineup of drummer Richie Onori, bassist Stevie Stewart, vocalist Patrick Alan Stone, guitarist Jimmy Burkard and keyboardist Dave Schultz continues to keep Sweet’s spirit alive and well. –Ken Miller

Evolution Revolution

Strip attraction offers an ever-changing view of the city, along with several fun surprises

The landscape of Las Vegas is always changing dramatically, and no one knows that more than riders of High Roller, a 550-foot-tall observation wheel that offers 30-minute rotations, during which time the entire landscape can be seen.

And what a changing landscape it has been! In the more than 10 years since High Roller began thrilling visitors, Resorts World Las Vegas was built, the Fontainebleau Las Vegas was finally completed, Sphere was added, and Allegiant Stadium and T-Mobile Arena were built. It’s a perfect reason why High Roller remains a must-visit experience, even if you’ve been before—you never know what you’ll see this time.

And it’s not all about the sights you see while taking a pod; there are so many ways to make High Roller an integral part of your Las Vegas experience. First and foremost among these is the Happy Half Hour, where you and a group of adults can enjoy a pod with a stocked bar for 30 minutes from noon to 11:30 p.m.

If you’re here for nuptials, good news! You can reserve a wedding, complete with flowers and music, which will end with you kissing the bride or groom as the cabin finishes its rotation. And gender reveal parties for the parents-to-be? Yep, High Roller has got you covered on that as well, with a gender reveal light show that lights up the High Roller’s 2,000 LED lights in your baby’s color for 15 minutes. This package also comes complete with a signature “Mommy Mocktail” from Sky Lounge Bar.

If you’re attending with your entire family, High Roller can become a wonderland of discovery, not just about the various sights you will see, but the attraction itself. Get on your phone and download information about High Roller. For instance, did you know each cabin weighs 44,000 pounds and has a diameter of 23 feet? Or that the entire wheel weighs more than three-and-a-half tons?

There’s a feeling of contentment on the way down that remains upon exiting the High Roller. A burger from In-N-Out may be the perfect way to conclude an experience, though, especially if it’s prepared “animal style.” –Matt Kelemen

Find the burger for you at this celebrity chef restaurant

The Gordon Ramsay restaurant empire in Las Vegas continues to expand with the opening of the celebrity chef’s seventh location on the Las Vegas Strip: Gordon Ramsay Burger at Flamingo. And while you might expect a significantly heightened burger experience here, that’s just the beginning.

The 12,000-square-foot space, designed by DEZMOTIF Studios and featuring a large exhibition kitchen (similar to Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen at Caesars Palace), Gordon Ramsay Burger serves

up some of the most delicious sandwiches on the Strip. If you want to stick with the basics, the Backyard Burger features American cheese, butter lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and red onions, but for the more adventurous, the Southwest Burger (a specialty item) delights your taste buds with an asada-marinated beef patty, asadero cheese, cilantro, avocado, citrus aioli and butter lettuce.

For a change of pace, other specialties include the Idiot Burger, which uses braised short rib as its meat, Gruyère and

cheddar cheese, roasted mushrooms and a spicy tomato chutney, while the Cluck Yeah GFC Sandwich smothers its fried chicken with red cabbage slaw, pickled red onions and cilantro on a brioche bun.

And the desserts here are all worth your time, especially the Sticky Toffee Waffle, a clever twist on Ramsay’s classic sticky toffee pudding (maybe the best dessert on the Strip), served with toasted pecans and vanilla ice cream. –Ken Miller

Welcome to the Caviar Party!

The delicacy goes rock ’n’ roll at new Strip lounge and speakeasy

Take a bump like a rock star! (Hey, not that type!) Caviar has gone rock ’n’ roll, with bumps of the delicacy (the hot new trend) now paired with live music, good times and impressive cocktails. Welcome to Caspian’s Rock & Roe at Caesars Palace.

“Caspian’s is a picturesque caviar bar in the front—we like to say, ‘Business in the front, party in the back,’” says Ryan Brunty, director of marketing for Caspian’s. “You experience this luxe food in the front lounge, and then hidden behind a picture of a captain is the door to an art deco-styled rock ’n’ roll club. The difference between the two is so striking; it makes it such a fun, memorable experience for people.”

Here, let’s talk about the rock ’n’ roll speakeasy. Once you step through the captain’s painting, you pick up a phone, ask to be let in and step into a wonderful world where nautical-themed luxury meets a Sunset Strip-type rock club. Plenty of seating is available; just make a reservation and the table is yours all night for a price. If you’d prefer to be right next to the stage so you can go gaga over the rock stars or you want to belly up to the bar, those are both con-

sidered general admission and are free. (There is never a cover at Caspian’s.)

What about taking those bumps? Bumps of caviar (a small amount of the delicacy is placed in the hand,

which helps warm it up and release the flavors) and small plates like mini Maine lobster rolls with caviar, crabby caviar tacos and deviled eggs with caviar are available if you need a little

The cocktails are also the star of the show. A carefully curated menu of unique, showy cocktails adds to the Caspian’s experience. “We wanted to

Three standout stars include the Feet in the Sand with Patron Silver coconut-washed tequila, Cointreau, banana liqueur, orgeat, lemon, lime, bitters and a totally delicious toasted coconut sugar rim; “Fig”ure of Your Imagination with Makers Mark bourbon, Cointreau, fig jam, honey and lemon; and the Pear-fecta with

Grey Goose La Poire vodka, cucumber, thyme syrup and lemon. Caspian’s also offers unique mocktails, bottle service, champagnes, wines, beer and classic cocktails. The negroni, espresso martini, Moscow mule, Pornstar martini, paloma and more—don’t pass these up, as Caspian’s nails it when it comes to re-creating the classics; and every classic cocktail can get a bump-up in excess by adding caviar-stuffed olives. With cocktail and caviar in hand, rock out to a rotating roster of bands. Past nights have seen Sammy Hagar and members from Lifehouse and Savage Garden perform, and even singer Macy Gray has stopped by and jumped onstage to do her rendition of “Creep” by Radiohead. “You never know who is going to drop in,” Brunty says. “You can see a rock ’n’ roll band onstage with caviar in your hand. It just really creates a fun experience for people that you can’t get anywhere else on the Strip in this capacity. At the end of the day, we’re a rock ’n’ roll club. It’s all about the rock and getting rowdy. That’s what our brand is about.” –Kiko Miyasato

General manager is loving her second life

You wouldn’t think that the medical industry would have things in common with the food and beverage industry, right?

Well, for Ariel Fowler, they do!

Ten years ago, she worked in nuclear medicine, and today she’s the general manager at Crush at MGM Grand. And believe it or not, her past life helped prepare her for her new one. “It’s almost like a second life, not even another chapter; it’s like a whole different book,” Fowler explains. “It’s exciting because I feel like even though I’m not in medical anymore, what I got from that I still use today, like

bedside manner, that’s connecting with my guests, all the memorizing you need to do for medical that’s like memorizing dishes, drinks, menus.”

So why the second life? While going to school for medicine, Fowler picked up shifts working in restaurants; the longer she spent working, the more she fell in love and decided to make the change in careers. “People from all over the world come to Las Vegas every day to enjoy some of the highest-quality offerings in food and beverage, and being able to be a part of that and enhance the guest’s

Fowler has worked at properties including The Venetian and Resorts World Las Vegas, and in 2022 joined Crush, “a fine dining restaurant with an accessible neighborhood feel. We focus on providing guests with the communal enjoyment of celebrating great food and great drinks with great company.”

Does she miss her old life? “Success to me is personal happiness. That’s the best life to live. Do things you love to do, and that’s what I’m doing.” –Kiko Miyasato

prepares to take his final Vegas bow (for now) with ‘The Encore Shows’

Rod Stewart may be reaching the end of the road as far as extensive world tours and his Caesars Palace residency, but he’s hardly done performing. Once he’s wrapped his 2025 One Last Time dates, Stewart will likely indulge his interest in swing music with select live dates in the U.K. The Scottish singer will keep up with Glasgow’s Celtic Football Club as much as he can and relax at his local pub, then he’ll get the singing itch again that’s best scratched in Vegas.

Stewart’s run at Caesars was supposed to end last year, but he added an encore set of dates that extended his residency through his 80th birthday. He wasn’t ready to let go of performing at the Colosseum or its martini-fueled after-parties. Stewart, whose Wolfie’s Whisky distillery bottles Scotch on the banks of Loch Lomond, still likes to hoist a few when he’s not training to beat world sprinting records for his age group.

And he still relishes life as much as he did when he fronted good-time rock band Faces, or was fi rst grabbed by the music of Muddy Waters and Sam Cooke as a budding vocalist. The former had grit and gravitas, while the latter’s versatility enabled him to appeal to wide and diverse audiences. Stewart borrowed from both and became a dynamic stage persona whose passionate voice lent itself well to a variety of musical styles.

renditions of Bonnie Tyler’s “It’s a Heartache” and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” before venturing into more audience-familiar territory with Cat Stevens’ “The First Cut Is the Deepest” and Crazy Horse’s “I Don’t Want to Talk About It.”

There are plenty of hits. Stewart opened shows with “Infatuation” and delivered ’70s classic “Maggie May” and ’80s classic “Young Turks,” but much of his sets were devoted to songs he breathed new life into. Van Morrison certainly doesn’t mind royalties Stewart’s recording of “Have I Told You Lately” garnered, and Tom Waits gets points every time “Downtown Train” plays through the Colosseum’s sound system.

History will depict Stewart as one of the rock era’s great song interpreters, along with contemporaries such as the late Joe Cocker and retired Linda Ronstadt. Stewart is as e ervescent as ever, but he knows everyone’s time on the third planet from the sun is limited. As long as his body and voice hold out, he’ll keep taking the stage.

Meanwhile, Stewart, who will play the “teatime legend” slot at this summer’s Glastonbury Festival, will continue to enjoy a life fi lled with making headlines for meeting superfans who have followed him for seven decades, boosting Celtic F.C. and making time for swing with collaborator Jools Holland. His days of large-scale touring may come to an end, but he’s not quite ready to stop playing Faces songs live, at least in Las Vegas. ticketmaster.com

Stewart paid homage to Cooke and Waters at the most recent shows of his Colosseum residency, respectively, with covers of “Having a Party” and Waters’ “Rollin’ and Tumblin’.” He applied his signature rasp to

Cirque du Soleil’s KÀ celebrates 20 years of heroic journeys

There was nothing like KÀ on the Strip when the curtain first raised on Cirque du Soleil’s third Vegas production 20 years ago. KÀ stretched the boundaries of Cirque possibilities by offering audiences an action-adventure extravaganza with an abstract narrative that follows a brother-sister pair of twins. It combines fire, fighting, fantastic creatures and a stage that seems to free itself from gravity. It’s like kabuki theater meets Mad Max meets Game of Thrones, in where else but Las Vegas.

KÀ raised standards for set design, makeup and costuming while increasing audience expectations of Strip shows. The concept itself remains the same, but revisiting patrons may notice revisions to the music, pacing and special effects.

KÀ opens, after some precurtain audience interaction, with the scene of celebration on the Royal Barge as the twins are introduced. Performers engage in Icarian Games (acrobatic human juggling) as en-

tertainment for the royal court as well as the audience inside KÀ Theatre. The twins, both having displayed skills in combat, are given gleaming flutes as gifts that they proceed to fight with before their nursemaid quickly brings them in line.

It’s then that the engineering expertise that went into the barge’s construction becomes apparent as it floats and turns before being attacked by archers and spearmen. The twins and nursemaid escape via the next impressive piece of set design in the boat that rocks in a stormy sea. The nursemaid and sister wash up on shore, where they encounter several oversized sea creatures while the brother is rescued by the Court Jester, who soothes the traumatized twin by teaching him shadow puppetry.

Underwater scenes, a high cliff escaped via a high-flying glider that floats over the audience, battle scenes on vertical grounds and rotations on the Wheel of Death are some of the more impressive highlights of the show. The twin sister finds a romantic interest in the Firefly Boy, while the brother is freed from captivity by the Chief Archer’s Daughter. Both are menaced by the Counselor and his son, but in the end good triumphs over evil.

pending disbelief in audience members. Trained in acrobatics, wushu and capoeira, among other physical arts, their split-second timing in executing feats, flips and falls are crucial to the show’s success.

702.531.3826

Some of KÀ’s strengths lie in innovative costumes and makeup that make some performers appear exotic, while others appear anamorphic or pulled from the pages of a graphic novel.

The performers themselves are key to the fantasy sus-

KÀ’s silver anniversary is just around the corner, but the 20-year mark is a good time to look back before looking ahead to the future. Many shows have opened and nearly as many have closed, but KÀ occupies a niche that stands little danger of encountering future competition in the fantasy epic realm on the Strip. The twins experience a continuous cycle of celebration, separation, growth and reunion from show to show that could proceed for many more performances and many years to come.

Von Teese talks about her newest production

Burlesque icon Dita Von Teese recently opened her dazzling residency at Voltaire inside The Venetian. The star chatted with Las Vegas Magazine’s Em Jurbala about the show.

Right. It feels really nice. It’s so glamorous.

It’s definitely a big shift for me. Even though the runway was invented for burlesque in America in the 1930s, it still is (different from) most of the theaters that I do—these big historic theaters that hold like 3,000 people … It was a lot of me trying to figure out how to make it feel immersive and adapt the show to utilize the runway and the whole room … I’m not used to having theater in the round or being that close to people. There’s a lot of beads that go rolling off into the audience, which people can feel free to capture, but it’s definitely a different feeling, and I’m really getting into it.

18+. voltairelv.com

Actually, not at all, because I’m that way no matter what. I’ve never ever in my entire career thought, “Oh, no one’s going to see that from back in the balcony.” I always think about the details because it’s not even whether someone sees it, it’s what does it for me … I love the details. I love diving deep and really digging into the history of whatever I’m doing.

There’s three! I added, besides Dirty Martini, who is a global icon of burlesque and world champion tassel twirler, and Jett Adore, who’s been part of my tours for as long as I can remember. We’ve added Tosca Rivola, who is an amazing performer. She does the Cyr wheel ... I found her at this open casting and she did this incredible act and I was like, “Can you do it and add some strip tease?” So I’m pretty sure she’s the only woman to be performing strip tease while also revolving in a Cyr wheel.

A lot of people who’ve seen the show feel like it’s an entirely new show because it’s such a different backdrop. Of course, there’s going to be some of my best-known numbers like my martini glasses. And yes, thanks to Caesars Entertainment we were able to bring over a curated selection of the Bob Mackie costumes from Jubilee!, which really means a lot to me because those costumes are really untouched since Jubilee! closed … There’s a lot of new things. I’ve added a lot of things and done some edits … There’s a big fetish number and I’ve completely changed that. It used to be an ensemble cast without me and now it’s one of my own numbers with an epic new set piece.

It’s a little bit of both. For instance, Dirty Martini, her number is a little bit different from what she did at (Horseshoe Las Vegas). She’s performing with one of my jeweled carousel horses. It’s really a spin—no pun intended—on the tassel twirling. It’s a collaboration … I think all of us burlesque performers have the formula of what our best number is, and so she adapted that to this set and this prop that I’m known for creating.

on board by the time Maroon 5 played the first of many New Year’s Eve concerts in Las Vegas, with keyboardist PJ Morton joining in 2012 and longtime Maroon 5 collaborator Sam Farrar playing basslines since 2016. Maroon 5 would be as much a part of “Auld Lang Syne” in Las Vegas as fireworks until it launched the first Dolby Live its beginnings. The current setlist includes material from their Songs About Jane Tour that were performed at Vegas concerts by the band, which included founding member and current rhythm guitarist/keyboardist Jesse Carmichael. Drummer Matt Flynn was residency shows in 2023. Now superfans of all ages know where to find Maroon 5 in Las Vegas and have 6,400 vantage points to choose from, including balcony seats. Levine’s voice effortlessly hits high notes like it’s 2003, and the musicianship of Valentine is often front and center on the tall video panels that sometimes project the band in infrared. Otherwise, the background is ambient and non-distracting from the performance of more than 20 songs and covers, which include Morton’s “Heavy” on at least one occasion in October. Expect “Animals,” “Payphone,” “Moves Like Jagger” and “Sugar” for sure, with strong possibilities of “Stayin’ Alive” and a Prince song. Expect Maroon 5 to play each concert as if it’s the first of the residency or the last. Levine might sing about a payphone, but the band never phones it in. Maroon 5 does not disappoint the superfans.

Maroon 5 shares

8-year-old daughter, Dusty Rose, was serenaded during the band’s rendition of “Girls Like You.” Maroon 5 played that song during the encore during the last set of shows in what has become one of the longest-running band residencies on the Strip by a band whose relationship to Las Vegas nearly reaches back to “Memories” peaked at No. 2 in January 2020 and will likely be peaking all through March at Maroon 5: The Las Vegas Residency , where the band plays its first live shows after a seven-concert, late-winter Asian tour. One show was at Japan’s Tokyo Dome, where Levine’s

‘Memories’ and a lot more with the superfan set

One of the constant highlights of Maroon 5’s Las Vegas residency has been when singer Adam Levine and guitarist James Valentine venture into the audience to serenade a section of the superfans, many of whom sing along as Levine croons “She Will Be Loved” and Valentine fingerpicks the song’s chord progression. The Maroon 5 superfan knows this part of the show well. If they’re seated close, they’ll be capturing the moment for content creation without interfering with sightlines. The superfan prepares carefully for this moment. They’ve saved maximum memory on their phone for video. They documented the road to Dolby Live on social media. They watched the end of Venom 3: The Last Dance again and felt chills as “Memories” accompanied a montage of Eddie Brock reminiscing about his titular buddy. They streamed the song and helped it reach the summit of the Top Movie Songs chart in October.

Viral trends on social media simply cannot be avoided these days—unless you are, wink, wink, anti-social. One of the big trends lately is the “coquette” look and lifestyle—very cutesy, very demure. Think floral, fairy tale, dreamy, charming, feminine, pearls, lace and bowties. So, we decided to lean into it, Vegas-style, and found five hot spots on the Strip where you can indulge and imbibe in the most coquettish fashion.

Perhaps the most coquette of all the spots on the Las Vegas Strip, Café Lola at The Forum Shops at Caesars is a fairy-tale-styled experience in both décor and dining. The menu is overflowing with delicious options—especially

the selection of specialty lattes Café Lola is famous for. Don’t miss the honey lavender latte, Lola’s signature vanilla rose latte and the golden milk latte. Café Lola also o ers a cutesy mimosa flight with five flavors, including grape-

fruit, original, blood orange, butterfly tea and strawberry, and white peach. (This is so good you won’t want to put it down!) Desserts and small plates round out the menu, and you can even order tea served in the most darling china. The décor of Café Lola really zeros in on the viral coquette sensation, though. The

space is filled to the brim with flowers and floral walls, pink running through every furnishing and textile throughout the space, gold flower designs on beverage items and food and drinks made in the cutest presentations. Feminine and frilly, Café Lola is the ideal spot to celebrate the coquette craze.

Have you stepped inside a cute cottage set within the English countryside? You'll feel like you have at Primrose, a restaurant and bar with charming décor filled with coquette touches. Take a seat inside the lounge area and order the beautiful, purple-hued Lavender Sgroppino, a mix of Absolut Elyx vodka, lavender syrup, prosecco, crème de violette and a scoop of lemon sorbet that sends the cocktail’s flavor over the top. The lounge is styled with a mock fireplace lit with candles and petite tables and high-back lounge chairs covered in floral-patterned fabrics—yes, the perfect cutesy background for your coquettish photos. New to Primrose and perfect to pair with your specialty cocktails is the weekend brunch. The Saturday and Sunday prix fixe o ering includes li'l dishes of tea sandwiches, mini Danish, artisanal meat and cheeses, seasonal jams, fresh fruits and larger options like the decadent crème brûlée French toast.

If anyone is a fan of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, you’d know that Lisa Vanderpump lives in a coquette world—just check out her stunning home. She’s brought that aesthetic to her first Las Vegas venture—she and her husband are longtime restaurateurs—Vanderpump Cocktail Garden, which opened in 2019. The lounge is draped in flowers, foliage and twinkling lights. Floral patterns and textiles fill in the space, and its vibe is secret garden realness. The menu is packed with cocktails and light bites, but for that extra-special coquette photo, order the Vanderpump Margarita, made with tequila, fresh lime, hibiscus, white peach and orange liqueur. Pair it with the Vanderpump Rosé Cake, a cutesy li'l pink cake built for two made of rosé-infused sponge cake and a to-die-for strawberry buttercream. For extra snapshots, order a bottle of Lisa’s own Vanderpump Rosé, a beautiful bottling with a floral and gold design with the blush-colored vintage shining through.

Caesars Palace | 702.731.7867

The Vanderpumps continue to spread their distinctive brand across the city, with the opening of their second lounge in 2022, Vanderpump à Paris. (Fans of the Vanderpump aesthetic will be happy

to know the family is opening a third spot later this year at Flamingo). Vanderpump à Paris’ decor evokes images of lovers, romance, candlelit corners and cozy date nights—all draped in flowers, ribbons,

soft textures and beautiful furnishings. To continue the romantic coquette adventure, order the perfectly fitting cocktail, Lock Locked. Mixed with Workdog gin, velvet falernum, raspberry, lemon, hibiscus, pomegranate and aquafaba, it comes in two glasses to share with your lover, as well as a lock, key and marker that guests can use to write their initials on the lock and add to the wall of locks at the entrance. Besides a menu packed with French-inspired cuisine, we highly suggest ordering the Grande Sélection to close your experience at Vanderpump à Paris. Your Instagram post of this dessert is perfect for that coquette hashtag and will have viewers envious (and hungry). It features three of the menu’s desserts, Le Grand Pu , Crème Brûlée Beignets and Mousse Au Chocolat Bites, all served on a grand platter.

er of sumptuous goodies includes signature scones with clotted cream and seasonal jam, tea sandwiches like egg salad, English cucumber and jamón Ibérico, and French pastries such as the spiked lemon tartelette and raspberry macarons. Beautifully designed pots are filled with tea and served alongside the treats, as well as specialty cocktails like the favorite Lavender Basil Lemon Drop with Belvedere organic lemon basil vodka, St-Germain, lavender essence and a divine basil-sugar rim. To step up the tea service, guests can opt for the caviar afternoon tea as well. The complete tea setup and signature specialty cocktails make for a heavenly coquette afternoon, made even more on theme thanks to Petrossian Bar’s location— near the flower-filled, always whimsically-themed Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Garden.

What could be more fashionably coquette than afternoon tea? Petrossian Bar—a longtime favorite of locals and tourists alike—has o ered the traditional European custom for more than two decades.

Available every Friday through Sunday from 1-4 p.m., guests can tuck into the front of Petrossian, where a pianist plays beautiful music, or choose a table in the back lounge area. A multilevel tow-

It’s like a mini theater. Through the dance, they have a towel that dispenses the aromatherapy and the heat throughout the room.” Awana Spa & Wellness is the fi rst to bring this European tradition to the U.S. “It’s unique in that people know the benefits of a sauna but sometimes you’re just counting down the minutes, but if you’re being entertained by this amazing show with aromatherapy and beautiful dance and lights and sound, then 20 minutes goes by like that.”
