I am the manager of a very busy department which is currently under a lot of various pressures and dealing with a range of challenges both internally and externally. What keeps me going, and keeps me working more hours than I am paid for each week, is that the team I manage care so much and are actually doing the same themselves, not only for the benefit of the members of the public we serve but also for the good of our amazing organisation, GMP. That keeps me going through the tough times. I feel very proud and I love working for GMP.
I love the fact that payday is on the 15th of every month. Having worked for less reputable employers where payday was more fluid, it is a hugely reassuring to know that you will be paid when you are supposed to be. Having that support and backup of a large organisation is great. The same could be said for leave.
I get job satisfaction from the feeling of helping victims every day, my team and supervisors are so supportive. This job is the most content I have ever felt in a job I am proud of what we do and my family/work-life balance has never been better.

Payday The support and guidance potentially available if you find yourself in a situation where it’s needed. I love that I have the opportunity every day to help officers reach vital information they need to perform their roles more efficiently. I love that my customer base is always pleased at what can be achieved with the Skills Hub and that I can make decisions based on how users will use the Hub. My job makes me want to be better every day and solve problems to help the force be a leader in policing.
