For The Love of The Game I always play sports because it is my passion the hard uneven field or the smooth court Even when it is cold I play on the ball taking on the wear and tear being passed and shot and my friends play with me we play for the love of the game we will play anytime anywhere

Friends My friends share school With me It is a small school With lots of homework and hard classes But that is ok Because that is where my friends are The teachers tell the students Not to talk But we do anyway Until someone gets punished And then we stop talking

Brains In science class we are learning about the brain It is funny to see how many parts Of the brain there are that I have Never heard of before I wonder how we can store all This information in such a small Place like the brain

I laugh as I picture people walking around with huge heads

The School Year We are calling the school year The final stretch now Because we are in the last quarter Only nine more weeks Are left We have been is school 27 weeks We have done lots of work and laughed a lot We had fun sometimes and hated others We are thinking about Summer break About what we will do And where we will go But we will not be in school

Alien Baby I do not know how I once A baby became me Once so small and fragile And had to be held at all times But now I am about ten times Bigger than I was When I was a baby My forearm now is about As long as I was And my thumb now Is as big as my hand was I do not remember When I threw up on the doctor When he did the Strep throat test But no matter how much I change I will always Be me

Bow and Arrow I pull the string back Look down the shaft Of the arrow And let go It makes a funny sound Like a “thwick As it sinks its Metal head into

The foam target that is Probably ten years old My grandpa made This bow when he was little I repeat the process until My fingers are red and Blistered But I had a Good time shooting And spending time with my grandpa

The Secret My classmates and I Pile into the classroom We find a stool and sit down We sit quietly And wait For the teacher to start We take out our pencils Long, Skinny, And narrowed on one end Into a point With a black tip And an eraser on the end As we do this I think about the things People do not take time to notice I take my pencil And draw A basketball with flames In my notebook No one notices The blue lines That keep the words straight As they sit Full Of Unwritten words
