A SUMMER TO DISCOVER YMCA CAMP CAMPBELL GARD Traditional Overnight and Day Camp Experiences
DISCOVER CCG A Letter to Our Community: Since 1926, YMCA Camp Campbell Gard has been dedicated to “Character Through Camping.” For over 90 years, our campers have reaped the benefits of mind, body, and spirit through the Y. The exciting camp programs we have developed for our campers lead them to new adventures, help them connect with nature, and teach them how they can be a wonderful friend and a great leader. Campers develop new friendships, enjoy action-packed days, and have amazing experiences that will live with them well into adulthood. At the heart of our camp are the Y’s three pillars– Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. These values drive our programming and our staff as they come to life each day. Please contact us at 513.867.0600 with any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you and your camper at YMCA Camp Campbell Gard! Sincerely, The YMCA Camp Campbell Gard Staff
Open and Accepting Environment YMCA Camp Campbell Gard is a welcoming, friendly and inclusive organization for all people. Such was the intention of Homer Gard when he established Camp in 1926. We are proud to continue that tradition. CCG endeavors to provide the camp experience to all children regardless of financial situations. Our scholarships are made possible through generous donations to the YMCA Annual Campaign.
Caring and Responsible Staff We recruit the best counselors from around the world based on their values and proven abilities to work with children. Our counselors are led by full-time year-round professionals. All staff members complete a rigorous application process that includes references and background checks. Our staff members also participate in extensive training to ensure that they serve as safe, positive, responsible, and caring role models for your child.
“The Mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy mind, body, and spirit for all.” The Trisha Dohn Summer Camp Scholarship for Kids This scholarship provides week-long residential summer camp experiences for children at CCG. Trisha Westmeier attended camp for many years as both a camper and counselor. She met and married her husband, Christian Dohn, while they served as camp counselors in 1986. Trisha believed strongly in the transformative, uplifting, and healing experience that camp can provide to children and young adults. The scholarship is available to all children, but special consideration will be given to children who are struggling with personal challenges, and for whom the camp experience may provide a comforting and supportive environment as they navigate a difficult period in their life. A donation can be made by calling the camp office or by using the registration form to.
The Camp Community We nurture character development in campers by teaching and emulating the values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Faith.
