Fasting brings great deliverance and defeats the most wicked of spiritual enemies: Mark 9:28, 29; Isaiah 58:6
Fasting prepares and equips for the work of the ministry: Acts 13:25,14:23
Through fasting we conquer temptation, as Jesus demonstrated for us: Matthew 4:1-11.
