The Abraham Lincoln birthplace is a replica of the place where the 16th president of the United States was born.

The Buffalo River, located in northern Arkansas, was the first National River to be designated in the United States. The Buffalo River is slightly more than 150 miles long.

Crater Lake National Park was established in 1902 and it is the fifth oldest National Park in the united states.

The Death Valley National Park is locate in some parts of California and some parts of Nevada. Despite it’s name, Death valley has all kinds of wildlife surviving in it.

Everglades National Park is a U.S. National Park in Florida that protects the southern 20 percent of the original Everglades.

Fort Necessity National Battlefield is a National Battlefield Site in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, United States, which preserves the site of the Battle of Fort Necessity.

The Gettysburg National Military Park, protects the landscape of the 1863 battle of Gettysburg during the American Civil War.

Volcanoes are monuments to Earth's origin, evidence that its primordial forces are still at work. Volcanoes are what created the Hawaiian islands. The Hawai'i National Park has some hiking trails that you can go up to see the Volcanoes on.

The Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore spans 15 miles, that’s 15,000 acres, of land. There are 45 miles of hiking trails, mysterious wetlands, and peaceful forests.

Joshua Tree National Park, is about 800,000 acres. There is not much water in the two desserts that make up Joshua Tree National Park.

Korean War Veterans Memorial commemorates those who served in the Korean War.

Lassen Volcanic National Park largest plug dome volcano in the world. Lassen Volcanic National Park is home to steaming fumaroles, meadows freckled with wildflowers, clear mountain lakes, and numerous volcanoes.

Mount Rushmore is a 60 foot high sculpture of 4 important people in the united states history. The 4 people in the sculpture are, (starting on the left), George Washington, Thomas Edison, Theodore Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln.

There are over 1,600 species of plants so far identified in the North Cascades National Park.

There are at least 198 species of birds at Ozark National Scenic Riverways. There is a rare flower called monkshood that has been discovered here.

The Petrified Forest National Park is massive with 42,085 miles. All of the wood is colorful and petrified, meaning it is rock, it takes millions of years for wood to petrify.

Quail Creek State Park is nearly 3,300 feet above sea level. The water surface totals about around 600 acres.

The trees in Redwood National and State Parks can live to be 2000 years old! They can also grow up to 300 feet, or more!

In the Saguaro National Park, saguaro cacti have about 150 years. These cacti can grow up to 50 feet, and weigh up to 10 tons! That’s more than an elephant!

The Thomas Jefferson Memorial, honors one of our many great forefathers, Thomas Jefferson. Thomas Jefferson was the author of one of the greatest documents signed in history, The Declaration Of Independance. He was also the third president of the United States .

Ulysses S. Grant National Historical Site consists of 9.65 acres full of educational sites.Ulysses S. Grant is known as the victorious Civil War general who saved the Union and the 18th President of the United States.

The Virgin Islands National Park is massive with over 7,000 acres of hills, valleys, and beaches. This absolutely huge park is located on the island of ST. John.

The Wind Cave National Park, is one of the longest and most complex caves in the world. Above the cave there is about 28,295 acres of mixed-grass prairie, and forest.

The Fort Stanwix National Monument, is a place that you can go to if you want to see what life was like in the 18th century. Here, you can see, feel, hear, and smell what it was like to live back then.

The highest point of sea elevation in Yosemite National Park is about 13,114. Almost 95% of Yosemite is designated wilderness. The native people of Yosemite have lived there for about 8,000 years.

Kolob Arch, in Zion National Park, is the second longest canyon arch in the world! In most places there is about 2-3,000 feet to the ground.
