Exploring the paranoRmal

anne and Renata have both been interested in the paranormal since their teens and have pursued the desire to learn more about ghost hunting by joining and moving through various groups and teams until their paths crossed about 5 years ago.

Renata had organised a ghost cruise to Melbourne but suffered from terrible sea sickness and so had to go on a search for a tour guide that could look after her tour group whilst they were travelling from Sydney to Melbourne and back onboard ship.

This was the beginning of a collaboration that has just grown to include continued study, travel overseas, work with well known internationally respected ghost hunters/paranormal investigators, guest speaking engagements, establishing the Australian School of Ghost hunting and more.

They also still work on their own businesses, Anne with Oz Para Tech, the largest online paranormal equipment store in Australia, and Renata with Newcastle Ghost Tours, a multi award winning dark tourism business in its 10th year.

Over the past few years both ladies have joined forces to include a weekly vodcast on paranormal topics as well as free live tarot readings also once a week. They are also run The Seance Parlour, a Victorian Style Seance experience, before Covid changed all of that.

All of this adds up to a very hectic schedule and the ability to meet and assist many different people. Anne and Renata have a desire to make the supernatural accessible to everyone and to provide a safe environment where they can ask questions, tell their personal stories and explore their own psychic/mediumship abilities and remove the stigma and biases associated with ghost hunting.

Anne and Renata believe there are many reasons why a spirit may choose to be here amongst the living. “It may be due to what we call ‘unfinished business’, or they may feel that they wish to stay and watch over a loved one. Perhaps they may not know they have left their physical body if their death was sudden. There are many more reasons, and it’s complicated, but so is life.”

The ladies have experienced many energy shifts over the past few years and believe that these cycle in intensity. The current Covid situation has led to may people feeling very lost and asking the deep questions of what is their purpose and what might they do to be more in touch with their own spiritual path.

The same questions always come to the surface – what lies beyond? Is there life after death? Do demons exist? Can I make contact with my loved ones in spirit?

“Some people do experience hauntings and again, it’s complicated!”

There is no short answer and each case is unique with its own set of experiences.

In most cases Anne and Renata use their knowledge and expertise, to firstly try to dispel fear, and to offer advice as to what the clients can do to bring down anxiety and panic.

“We empower people to solve their problems. Hollywood does not offer solutions – in fact it often just adds to the problem.In reality, it is rarely as horrifying as portrayed in the movies, and solutions to hauntings need to be tailor made to each circumstance.”
