Yoga will compliment other sporting and fitness modalities. There is no particular yoga wear. Yoga is not a religion or gender specific. There is no particular body shape required, no special language has to be learnt, you don’t have to chant, burn incense, eat mung beans or have been born under a relevant star sign. If you want to deepen your knowledge of yoga beyond the exercise you will be given that opportunity, but it won’t be forced.

What you do need is a desire to improve your wellness through structured and focused movement. Your physical and mental health will improve. The body functions at it’s optimum when it moves, that’s what it’s designed to do. Yoga classes are structured in a format that ensures all the various planes of movement are activated so that every system of your body is stimulated and enhanced. You won’t be forced into patterns of movement that are uncomfortable, cause pain or aggravate old injuries. Your individual needs will be respected and catered for.

You will be introduced to practices aimed at calming your breath and relaxing your mind, a great way to de-stress, chill and improve your sleep.

The Peninsula Yoga on Gnostic class format is simple – move or exercise your body and innercise your mind.
