SPED BOOT CAMP FOR FALL
• SPED 5203 Children and Youth with Special Needs
• Fall Session Begins October 11th; Class sessions will meet face-to-face, with the option to Zoom and will be held from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings AND there is an online component (hybrid), plus a 30-hour field component in the public school

OTHER BENEFITS FOR BOOT CAMP STUDENTS:
– Membership to the Learning Disabilities Association of America
– Free Professional Development opportunity (Dyslexia)
– Free trade books in the discipline of special education
ROUTE TO CERTIFICATION
• Receive teaching certificate after successful completion of Boot Camp course;
• Obtain a teaching job
• 3 years to complete 18 additional graduate hours in special education coursework (6 hours/year)
– Must provide proof of progress at the end of each year (transcript and letter from Cameron—Dr. Keller, Director of Ed Prep office)
• Pass the OSAT & PPAT
