Dear Fans,

Welcome to The Rock for a historic season of Appalachian State football! As the Mountaineers compete for their first-ever NCAA bowl berth on the field, we hope that you enjoy a first-class experience in and around Kidd Brewer Stadium. We hope that this Fan Guide is helpful for you as you plan your visit to The Rock. In it, you’ll find information such as maps, transportation and parking details, a layout of our facilities, a list of stadium amenities and policies and much more. While you’re reading through the Fan Guide, we ask that you take special note of our CLASS initiative on p. 12. Our goal is to make Gameday at The Rock a special and comfortable experience for everyone in attendance. Please join us by supporting the Mountaineers loudly but in a way that allows fans of all ages to enjoy the game as well. Thank you for your support of Appalachian State and our student-athletes! ATMs • ATMs are available on the Appalachian State campus at Trivette Hall, Plemmons Student Union, and on Rivers Street across from the parking deck. Disabled Services • For information on special seating for guests that have disabilities, please contact the Athletics Ticket Office at 828-262-2079 or visit the Appalachian State Ticket Office at the Holmes Convocation center prior to the game or the ticket plaza on gameday. First Aid • First aid stations are located behind sections 101 & 102 on the West Side of the stadium and under section 218 on the East Side. Guest Services Booth • Please visit the guest services booth located inside the Echota West Gate for any questions, comments, or concerns on gameday. Lost & Found • Any lost items will be brought to the guest services booth at the Echota West Gate during the game. After the game, all unclaimed items are turned over to the Appalachian State Police Department at 828-262-2150.

Stadium Re-Entry • There is NO re-entry at Kidd Brewer Stadium. No Smoking • Kidd Brewer Stadium is a non-smoking stadium. Smoking of tobacco products and electronic cigarettes is strictly prohibited. Prohibited Items • All carried items and entrants are subject to search. Prohibited items will be discarded. Any unlawful items are subject to confiscation and the person in possession of such items is subject to arrest. Prohibited items include: • alcoholic beverages • coolers or containers • artificial noisemakers • pets (with the exception of service animals)

Fan Conduct Appalachian State Athletics and the Sun Belt Conference hold all individuals associated with athletic events to the highest ideals of sporting behavior. All athletics administrators, coaches, student athletes, spirit groups, and fans shall act with respect, fairness, civility and honesty in an effort to create an appropriate environment for athletic competition as well as a positive image for their universities. Racial, sexual, physical or verbal abuse warrants immediate removal from Kidd Brewer Stadium without warning. Let’s give the participants and your fellow fans the respect they deserve. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter and for supporting Appalachian State and the Sun Belt Conference.

Post-game • Exiting Kidd Brewer Stadium – Guests are asked to leave the stadium post-game through the main gates. No access to the track or field will be allowed until after the student athletes have cleared to the locker room area. • No traffic will be allowed to access Stadium Drive from Rivers Street until 45 minutes after the conclusion of the game.

ZERO WASTE STADIUM In addition to Recycle at The Rock and in keeping with the zero waste commitment at Appalachian, Athletics, the Physical Plant and the Office of Sustainability partnered to develop a zero waste stadium initiative. Through thoughtful purchasing decisions, reducing consumption and increasing recycling we can drastically reduce what we send to the landfill. • Zero Waste Zones at key locations at Kidd Brewer Stadium • Recycle plastic, glass, metal – if in doubt, recycle it • Compost food waste, napkins/paper towels, paper products, pizza boxes • Zero waste attendants at each zone to assist fans

• All vendor products are recyclable or compostable • Condiments provided in bulk rather than individual packaging • Post-game cleanup efforts will separate items for recycling or composting

Alcohol • Malt beverages and unfortified wine may be consumed in designated tailgating locations by those fans of legal drinking age. •

GAMEDAY TAILGATING

General Information • Campus lots that are designated for tailgate will open for entry promptly at 9 AM on Saturday game days. Please check tailgateattherock.com for updated tailgate information and Thursday game night details. Tailgate times are subject to change.

Those that choose to consume alcohol must be able to present a valid driver’s license or photo ID to reflect their age upon request. Spirituous liquor, kegs, common containers, and glass containers are not permitted in any location. No alcohol is permitted in Kidd Brewer Stadium.

Recycle at the Rock • Now in its 8th year, Recycle at the Rock allows fans to help the Appalachian State University community participate in our Zero Waste Commitment. Lot attendants will provide green and black bags in all tailgate areas. •

Green Bag (Recycling) – Plastic, Glass, Metal, Clean paperboard (i.e. soda cartons, cracker boxes, etc.)

Black Bags (Landfill) – Soiled paper products, Food waste, Snack packaging, Styrofoam

TICKET INFORMATION

The Appalachian State Athletics Ticket Office is located on the lower level of the Holmes Convocation Center. The hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. On game days, the ticket office relocates to the ticket plaza outside of Kidd Brewer Stadium and opens 4 hours prior to kickoff. Will Call Public Will Call is located in the ticket plaza outside of the stadium. Photo identification must be presented in order to receive tickets. EMERGENCY POLICI ES

Inclement Weather • In the event of inclement weather, all guests will be advised that it is in their best interest to seek shelter. Emergency instructions will be delivered over the public address system and the message boards when possible. Evacuation • If the stadium is evacuated due to an emergency, instructions will be given over the public address system and Event Staff will assist fans to appropriate exits. We ask that you follow instructions and exit the stadium in an orderly fashion.
