玫瑰谷节在保加利亚 Rose Valley Festival The Rose Valley is a narrow plateau located between Kazanlak and Karlovo. The valley’s climate, characterized by mild winters and long springs with low rainfall and high humidity in the morning, allows the roses to contain a high percentage of oil of a unique and valuable fragrance. Some argue that its presence comes from the soldiers of Alexander the Great, who brought some plants back from Persia. From mid-May until the first week of June, the Rose Valley is visited by tourists from all over the world attracted by the numerous festivals organized in the villages during the weekends. Day 12: PLOVDIV – KOPRIVSHTIZA – SOFIA (200 km) Depart for Koprivshtiza, one of the centers of the April uprising in 1876 against the Ottoman occupation. Visit the historic city center that features some of the most beautiful old houses in Bulgaria. See the Church of the Virgin (Uspenie Bogirodichino). Day 13: SOFIA Visit Sofia: the Church of St Sofia, the Church of St George and the Aleksandar Nevski Cathedral. Visit the National Museum of History and the Boyana Church, UNESCO Heritage, a unique example of the medieval architecture.

See the Mustafa Pasa Mosque, the Church of St. Spas, the Feudal Tower, the memorial of Mother Teresa.

Day 23: KALAMBAKA – METEORA – VERGINA – PELLA – THESSALONIKI (320 km) Visit the UNESCO site of Meteora, which rise starkly over 400 m above the Peneas valley. Head to the UNESCO site of Vergina to see the royal necropolis, believed to be the tomb of Philip II of Macedonia. Visit Pella, the ancient capital of Macedonia, was home to Alexander the Great. Visit the new Archaeological Museum.

Day 16: SKOPJE – PRISTINA – PEC – DECANI – SKOPJE (350 km) Visit of 3 unmissable sites UNESCO: Gracanica, Pec and Decani Monasteries. Arriving in the capital Pristina, walk in the pedestrian center.

Day 18: OHRID Visit the old center of Ohrid, UNESCO site. Visit Cathedral of St. Sophia, Byzantine Church of St. Bogorodica Perivlepta, Roman theatre, Samuil fortress, the Plaosnik and the Church of St. Kaneo. After lunch, travel by boat on Lake Ohrid to visit the Monastery of St. Naum.

Visit the Fortress and the mediaeval town. Day 21: V. – BUTRINTI – SARANDA (180 km) Explore archaeological site Butrint (UNESCO), the amphitheater, the Temple of Aesculapius and Baptiserion.

Day22:SARANDA–BLUEEYE–ARGIROKASTER – KALAMBAKA (260 km) Departure to the charming water source “Blue Eye” - a magical place. Visit Gjiroikastra city UNESCO, the Fortress and the War Museum.

Day 24: THESSALONIKI Founded in 315 BC by Cassander of Macedon, Thessaloniki’s history spans over 2,300 years. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to numerous, notable Byzantine and Paleochristian monuments. The tour begins with the Arch of Galerius in the lower town. Visit Agios Georgios and Agia Sofia whose interiors are preserved precious mosaics. In the afternoon explore the National Archaeological Museum and the Museum of Byzantine Art. Day 25: THESSALONIKI – DEPARTURE Transfer to the airport.

品味和饮料 Taste and Drink The Balkans is a fertile region and the dishes are based on fresh produce, though you can’t escape the love of barbecued meat. Balkan cooking is seasonal and sourced from local ingredients, each country boast of its speciality recipes. Typical ingredients include tomatoes, potatoes, onions, garlic, peppers, cucumbers, carrots, cabbage, mushrooms, spinach, fresh beans, milk, Ajvar (roasted red pepper and eggplant spread), and cream cheese called Kajmak. Balkan cuisine is balanced between Western and Eastern influences. Balkan food is closely related to Turkish, Greek, Italian and other Mediterranean cuisines. However, due to years of Austrian rule, there are many influences from Central Europe. Balkan wine is all about the experience – grape varietals you may never have heard of, handcrafted over generations and served with heart.not replicated elsewhere in Europe.

Day 1: LJUBLJANA Visit Ljubljana. First day we do tour of “Bela Ljubjana”, the nickname given to this city after it was entirely rebuilt in the 16th century following the massive earthquake of 1511.

Mosaic, but also ... a kaleidoscope of colors, flavors and sounds! The crossing of every frontier is a new discovery, another piece of this area to be kept forever in the heart.

Day 2: LJUBLJANA – BLED – PLITVICE LAKES (370 km) Departure to visit the Lake Bled in the Julian Alps. We visit the castle located on a cliff with nice view of the town and we embark on a boat ride to Slovenia’s only island. Today the island is home to a Baroque church dedicated to Our Lady of the Lake.

Day 3: PLITVICE LAKES Visiting one of the worlds most Beautifful National Park - Plitvice Lakes, a Natural Heritage Site where the waters flowing over the limestone and chalk have, over thousands of years, deposited travertine barriers, creating natural dams which in turn have created a series of beautiful lakes, caves and waterfalls. Day 4: PLITVICE – TROGIR – SPLIT (270 km) Visit of the medieval town of Trogir, the main square Narodni Trg, the Cathedral, Communal Palace and Loggia. Departure to Split, visit Diocletian’s Palace, built between the late 3rd and the early 4th centuries A.D. Twelfth- and 13th-century Romanesque churches, medieval fortifications, Gothic palaces and other palaces in Renaissance and Baroque style.

Day 8: SARAJEVO – ŠARGAN EIGHT – KRALJEVO (300 km) Departure for Serbia. An exciting journey through time and unspoilt nature on the vintage train. Sarganska Osmica (the Sargan Eight) is an old-fashioned narrow-gauge railway. After a long period of inactivity, the railway was finally restored and reopened in 1995. A railway going slowly uphill bending around its slopes forming the shape of a number eight, offers, no doubt, some of the most stunning views in Serbia. The train stops in a couple of places, and one of the stations is made as a wooden terrace that offers a stunning view over the villages beneath. Station buildings have been restored so that they look exactly the way they looked in 1925, and one of them contains a small tourist complex, altogether with a restaurant, a waterfall, and a very long, steep stairway that takes you, through the forest, to the next station.

Day 5: SPLIT – DUBROVNIK (230 km) Visit Dubrovnik: The ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, situated on the Dalmatian coast, became an important Mediterranean sea power from the 13th century onwards. Although severely damaged by an earthquake in 1667, Dubrovnik managed to preserve its beautiful Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque churches, monasteries, palaces and fountains.

Day 9: KRALJEVO – ZICA – SOPOCANI KRALJEVO (260 km) Visit Sopocani monastery built by King Stefan Uroš I in 1260. Located near the spring of the River Raška, it preserves the medieval church of the Holy Trinity. Thanks to the extraordinary complexity of these paintings and their very high artistic level, is included on the Unesco list. Visit of two other beautiful Serbian monasteries: Zika and Studenica.

Day 6: DUBROVNIK – MOSTAR – SARAJEVO (260 km) Departure for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Visit the historic town of Mostar, developed in the 15th and 16th centuries as an Ottoman frontier town and during the Austro-Hungarian period in the 19th and 20th centuries. Mostar has long been known for its old Turkish houses and Old Bridge, Stari Most, after which it is named. It was recently rebuilt with the contribution of an international scientific committee established by UNESCO.

Day10:KRALJEVO–RAVANICA–VIMINACIUM – BELGRADE (290 km) Visit the historic part of the capital – the bohemian quarter, Skadarlija, with its old Serbian buildings such as the residence of Princess Ljubica, the Church of Saint Sava, the largest Orthodox Church in the Balkans. Evening walk in the center to admire the Palace of Parliament, the Government, and the Kalemegdan - the most beautiful and biggest park in Belgrade, which is also the most important cultural and historical complex.

Day 7: SARAJEVO Full day touring in Sarajevo: walk along the Baščaršija, Sarajevo’s exotic old town dating from the mid-15th century. Beginning in Sebilj Square, Gazi Husrev Begova Mosque (1530), the heart of Islamic culture in the Balkan peninsula, the Orthodox Church (1540), the National Library, the Jewish Temple and Museum, the Catholic Cathedral , the ‘War Tunnel’ Museum.


Day 12: BELGRADE – NOVI SAD – FRUSKA GORA – BELGRADE (200 km) Trip to Sremski Karlovci, a magnificent building, which houses the headquarters of the Patriarchate. Visit the Monastery of Krusedol, and the Monastery of Novo Hopovo. Visit the city of Novi Sad, the Habsburg city called the “Gibraltar of the Danube.” Visit the catholic church “Name of Mary”. The Clock Tower is 76 meters high. Across the river, the Petrovaradin fortress is one of the most famous castles in Europe. It was founded by the Romans, and besieged many times. The complex covers 12 acres and has 4 underground floors and 16 km of tunnels.

Day 13: BELGRADE – ZAGREB (400 km) Visit Zagreb: named “the city with a million hearts”, for the million inhabitants that it shelters. Ideally placed between the Mount Medvednica and the Rio Sava. Walk along the suggestive old town of Zagreb, happening for the Gornji grad (High City) – of narrow streets and with two doors of access, as the famous Door of Stone – where you will find all kinds of historical buildings, as the Church of San Marcos, the Museum of the city of Zagreb and the spectacular Palace Klovic. Day 14: ZAGREB – DEPARTURE Transfer to the airport.

传统与民俗 Traditions and Folklore The culture of the Balkans is marked by Ancient Greece, the Macedonian Empire of Alexander the Great and the Ottoman Empire. The folklore of the Balkans is embodied in the homemade traditional costumes. Today, the costumes are only dressed on holidays or by groups of dancers. But the art of weaving costumes is kept alive as other crafts like pottery, braiding, wood turnery, wood carving, iconography, and leatherworking. Some of the traditions that are still part of the life in the Balkans are Martenitza pranking - welcoming spring with red and white yarn, Kuker dancing - carnivals against the evil powers and Chasing the cross into the freezing waters on Jordan’s Day.where in Europe.

Day 2: DUBROVNIK – KOTOR – BUDVA (160 km) Departure to Montenegro. At the border meeting with the local guide. Visit Kotor situated in the Bay of Kotor – a UNESCOprotected area. Arrival in Budva and visit the fortified town in typical Mediterranean style. The town lies on a small island connected to the mainland by a strip of sand that with time became peninsula, but with its remaining mediaeval urban plot surrounded by ramparts dating from the fifteenth century.

Day 3: BUDVA – STARI BAR – KRUJA – TIRANA (250 km) Departure to visit Stari Bar: the architectural palimpsest of the city was made homogeneous during the Turkish domination, which marked the last years of the life of Stari Bar. Departure to Albania. At the border meeting with the local guide. Arrival in Kruja – an Albanian historic town located 30 km North-East from Tirana. The fort was built on a hill overlooking the area, during the V - VI century AD over a circular area of 2.25 hectares. Visit the rich ethnographic museum, the Historical Museum (closed, usually we can get them to open extraordinary) and the antique market with typical craft products. Arrival in Tirana for dinner and overnight stay. (B/D)

Day 4: TIRANA - DURRES - OHRID (230 km) Sightseeing tour of Tirana, starting from the Skanderbeg square. Visit in the National History Museum, E`them Bey Mosque, Clock Tower etc. Departure to Macedonia. Day 5: OHRID Visit of the old center of Ohrid. The most beautiful city of Macedonia and one of the most fascinating of the Balkan Peninsula was declared world heritage by UNESCO. Visit the Cathedral of St. Sophia, built in 1037-1056 with interesting frescoes of the 14th century, the Church of St. Maria Perivlepta of 1259 with Byzantine forms, the Samuil fortress, the Church of St. Constantine and Helen (from outside). Visit the Plaosnik. Visit the Church of St. Kaneo (one of the symbols of Ohrid). Boat trip to visit the Monastery St. Naum.

Day 6: OHRID – HERAKLEA – BITOLA - STOBI DEMIR KAPIJA (200 km) Departure to visit the ancient city of Heraclea, founded by Philip II, father of Alexander the Great, towards the middle of the fourth century BC. Among the most interesting ruins of the site you can see the hot springs, the colonnade, the amphitheater, the remains of two churches, both with wonderful and colorful mosaics. Visit of Bitola. Of the many mosques built by the Turks during their occupation, there are about a dozen left. Stroll along the way “Consulates”. Depart to visit the Roman city of Stobi, which was discovered during archaeological searches in the 20th century. Situated along the way Axia, Stobi was one of the largest Roman cities in the region.

Day 7: DEMIR KAPIJA – PELLA – VERGINA – THESSALONIKI (260 km) Departure to Greece and meeting with the local guide. Visit Pella with the ruins of the ancient capital of Macedonia. It was founded by Archelaus I to become the capital of the Kingdom of Macedonia and was also home to the empire of Philip II and Alexander the Great. Visit the new museum with all the material found in the area is considered as one of the greatest archaeological collections of the entire Greece. Arrival in Thessaloniki. Day 8: THESSALONIKI Visit Thessaloniki, a place of art and culture. As a UNESCO-protected site it witnesses its prestigious role during the centuries of the Roman Empire of the East. The tour begins with the Arch of Galerius in the lower town and then you will visit the churches of Agios Georgios and Agia Sofia. Their interiors keep well preserved precious mosaics. In the afternoon visit the National Archaeological Museum. Day 9: THESSALONIKI – M. ATHOS – KAVALA (260 km) Departure to port Ouranoupoli. Take the boat for the mini-cruise around the Mount Athos. Arrival in Kavala. Day 10: KAVALA – PHILIPPI – ALEXANDROUPOLIS (180 km) Visit Kavala, a city rich in history, located on the Bay of Kavala, across the island of Thasos. The spacious squares, contemporary buildings and shopping malls on the west side of the city, form a pleasant contrast with the traditional


old houses, small alleys and gardens that mark the eastern side. The castle of Kavala (or citadel) dominates the top of the peninsula, where there is the old town. Its current form was built in the first quarter of the 15th century, based on the foundations of the Byzantine period. Visit the archaeological site of Philippi – an important ancient city founded by Philip II of Macedonia, but perhaps best known for the battle between the Romans Octavian and Antony against Caesar’s assassins, Brutus and Cassius. Here Saint Paul baptized the first Christian in Europe – St. Lydia. Visit the church built on this sacred for the Christians place. Continue to Alexandroupolis.

Day 1: BUDAPEST Visit of the Hungarian capital. Among its main buildings, monuments and churches are: the Parliament, St. Stephen’s Basilica, the Synagogue - the largest synagogue in Europe and the second largest in the world, Vaci Street, spectacular Heroes’ Square, the Baths Szecheny - the largest medicinal baths in Europe, Vajdahunyad Castle and Andrassy Avenue to the Opera House.

Day 6: BELGRADE – VIMINACIUM – LEPENSKI VIR – KLADOVO (270 km) Departure to visit the archaeological site of Viminacium, the most important Roman city in the northern province of Moesia. Arrival at the Castle Golubac, stop for a visit. Continue along the Danube. Visit the site of Lepenski Vir located at the Djerdap Gorge. It represents the center of one of the most important prehistoric cultures of the period from 6500 to 5500 BC.

Day 2: BUDAPEST – ESZTERGOM – VISEGRAD – SZENTENDRE – BUDAPEST (120 km) Full day unforgettable tour along the stunningly beautiful Danube River. Visit famous Hungarian landmarks in the Danube Bend such as the largest Hungarian Catholic church and Visegrad castle. Then stop in the artistic mecca of Szentendre to explore the many museums and galleries.

Day 7: KLADOVO – FELIX ROMULIANA – NEGOTIN – KLADOVO (240 km) In the vicinity of Gamzigrad lie the ruins of a huge Roman complex called Felix Romuliana, one of the largest and best preserved monuments of Roman architecture in Europe. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Early explorers believed that the ancient ruins had been a Roman military camp because of its size and numerous towers. Visit one of the wineries in the Danube area.

Day 3: BUDAPEST – LAJOSMIZSE – NOVI SAD (300 km) Departure to visit the rustic landscape of Hungary’s plains (the puszta). Framed by the Danube and Tisza rivers, these vast flatlands offer an insight into rural Hungary. Spend the day on a traditional farm where you will watch a spectacular horse show and relish a Hungarian feast. Continue to Serbia. Day 4: NOVI SAD – BELGRADE (100 km) Visit Novi Sad, the capital of Vojvodina: Liberty Square is the largest central city. On the west side of the square is the Town Hall built in 1895 in Neo-Renaissance style. Visit Petrovaradin fortress “the Gibraltar of the Danube”. Departure for visit the best known and most valuable Fruška Gora monasteries, built by the despotic Brankovic family, continuing the cult of the old and famous Nemanjic state. Day 5: BELGRADE Visit the historical part of the Serbian capital the bohemian quarter Skadarlija with old-style buildings of Serbia and the Balkans, it was the residence of Princess Ljubica, the donation of Captain Misa, the Dositej School, the Cathedral, the Mosque Bajrakli Dzamija, the temple of Saint Sava - the largest Orthodox church in the Balkans. Walk in the center to admire the Palace of Parliament, the Government, the Kalemegdan - the great Roman fortress, situated at the confluence of the Sava and Danube.

Day 8: KLADOVO – BUCHAREST (370 km) Sail down for the largest and most beautiful excursion by boat on the Danube to the famous Iron Gates: a gorge on the River Danube. It forms part of the boundary between Romania and Serbia. In the broad sense it encompasses a route of 134 km (83 miles); in the narrow sense it only encompasses the last barrier on this route, just beyond the Romanian city of Orşova. Visit the famous Tabula Traiana engraved in the rock Day 9: BUCHAREST Visit the Triumphal Arch, the Romanian University, the Square of the Revolution, the University Square and the Curtea Domneasca. Explore the Patriarchy (spiritual center of the Rumanian Orthodox Church) and the Palace of Parliament, the National Cotroceni Museum, the oldest royal residence in Bucharest, now used as the residence of the President and a museum. Day 10: BUCHAREST – SINAIA – BRAN – BUCHAREST (360 km) Visit Peles Castle, the summer residence of King Carol I. Nestled in the picturesque town of Sinaia, visit Bran. Return to Bucharest. Day 11: BUCHAREST – TULCEA (280 km) Departing towards the Black Sea, across the Dobrudja plain.


Day 12: DANUBE DELTA Travel by boat, through one of the most beautiful parts on Danube Delta, on the route Canal 36 - Mila 23 Village, Crisan Village. Visit Letea Forest and Letea Village. Over 80% of the bird species in Europe can be found in the Danube Delta, admire colonies of pelicans, wild geese, or cormorants.

Day 13: DANUBE DELTA – RUSSE (350 km) Departure to Bulgaria. Visit Russe, one of Bulgaria’s most elegant cities. It’s imposing belle époque architecture and neatly trimmed leafy squares, as if a little chunk of Vienna had broken off and floated down the Danube.

Day 14: RUSSE – VELIKO TARNOVO – ARBANASSI – TROYAN (220 km) Visit Veliko Tarnovo with its centrepiece of the magnificent restored Tsarevets Fortress. Visit the Arbanassi village. Day 15: TROYAN – SOFIA (170 km) Visit Troyan, Bulgaria’s third-largest monastery showcases vivid, apocalyptic murals within its serene walls. Visit the capital Sofia. Day 16: SOFIA – RILA – DEPARTURE Visit Rila Monastery within its stone walls remarkably colourful architecture and religious art. Transfer to the airport.
