IDEAL brand clamps were first developed and manufactured by the Walter Werninghaus Spannwerkzeuge beginning in the early 1900´s. Heinrich Betz Werkzeugfabrik purchased the IDEAL line in 1968 and to this day continues to manufacture these products with the same attention to quality and performance as the inventors did more than 90 years ago.

Over the last three decades, Heinrich Betz Werkzeugfabrik has developed into one of the leading manufacturers in the German clamping tool sector by refining and improving its´ line of clamp products. High quality clamps that appeal to both professional and DIY tool users are produced by the third generation of this family-run company.

All production processes are completed at the company´s headquarters in Radevormwald, Germany. All materials are sourced within Germany and the EU area which means today, just like 90 years ago, IDEAL clamp products are Made in Germany!
