In addition to the numerous private and public events already booked, big plans are being made for the grand opening. The grand opening is expected to be an exciting event with live entertainment, ceremonies, presentations, food and refreshments, and fun activities. More details on the grand opening as well as other exciting events will be announced at the August 1st Rooster Booster! For the past year, the Global Spectrum team has been working hard selling not only the convention center, but also Owensboro as a premier destination and meeting place. “Owensboro has been off the meeting

planner’s radar since the Executive Inn shut down in 2008,” said Dean Dennis, Global Spectrum’s General Manager of the Owensboro Convention Center. “One of our goals is to get Owensboro back on their radar and make sure that everyone knows the who, what, where and when of this incredible new venue.” Global Spectrum gladly accepted the honor of sponsoring this month’s Rooster Booster. “It’s a great way for us to connect with members of the community,” said Madison Strobel, Global Spectrum’s Marketing and Public Relations Manager of the Owensboro Convention Center. “We are especially excited about having Rooster Booster at the new Owensboro Convention Center next year.”
