PR for non-PRofits A training course for youth workers to improve the Public Relations of their organisations in order to enhance the quality and visibility of youth work 8-16 October 2015, Debrecen, Hungary You are working with young people, doing several great projects but somehow your messages and results are not reaching as many people as you would like to. You use social media tools but you find it difficult to decide what are the best ones for your organisation, sometimes it seems chaotic what is good for what. You want to improve the external and internal communication of your organisation, create a better visibility and public acceptance of your work. Should your answer be “agree” to any of these statements, then this training course is designed for you and your organisation! This aim of the training is − to empower youth workers to improve the Public Relations of their organisations, − to enhance the quality and visibility of youth projects, − to strengthen the public recognition and acceptance of youth work, − to improve competencies of youth workers in order to be better communicators, − to share and learn new methods on how to create higher media and public attention on the organisations and the projects, − to support contact and cooperation between organisations, to establish international partnerships. Methodology used in TC will be diverse, combining non formal and informal methods. Program of this TC has been created in order to guarantee a high quality of learning process and stimulate creativity and participation. Interactive sessions will be organized as workshops, role plays, round tables and some open air activities to complement. Target group and criteria for selecting 27 participants -
Youth workers, leaders, coordinators, facilitators, volunteers from active NGOs; Are active in the communication of different projects; Are ready to be challenged and to share their experiences; Have a high multiplicative potential and motivation;
- There is no upper age limit but there is a minim of 18 years - All participants should have an English level of at least medium level (to be able to participate in discussion and in training activities); - The participants should be resident of one of following countries:
Germany or Czech Republic other participants are from Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, Turkey, Croatia, Italy and Hungary
Costs This TC is funded by Erasmus Plus program, therefore, all the costs regarding food and accommodation are 100% covered. Participants will only have to contribute to their travel costs. Erasmus plus, according to the Distance calculator available on the website of the program, covers up to: 275 Euros for all of the participants except for Romania and Hungary (participants from Hungary and Romania have to cover their own travel costs 100%).
