CONCEPT Education for Sustainable Developmet uses original, learner – centred teaching styles and promotes learning beyond the boundaries of formal education. It empowers students, turns them into agents in the educational process increasing their awareness and commitment. The training invites people who are intrested in getting to know more about the concept of education for sustainbale development, such as methods and principles of ESD. During the project participants will get to know different methodological approaches in the field of ESD and reflect about how to use the methods in different settings and with different target groups. The international setting enables the participants to learn about various aspects of international youth work and gives a chance to implement own ideas into a practical context of a polish – german youth exchange project.
ABOUT KRZYŻOWA AND THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PROJECT The Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe is a politically independent, non-profit organisation. The Foundation is committed to peaceful and respectful relations between nations, social groups and individuals in Europe. Krzyżowa is full of life thanks to the diversity of the people who gather here as well as their ideas and activities. The Foundation is located in Lower Silesia (Poland) on the former estate of the von Moltke family. During the Nazi Regime the German anti-Nazi resistance group "Kreisau Circle” met here. We will organize a transfer-bus between Wrocław/Breslau and Krzyżowa/Kreisau in the beginning and at the end of the project. Participants from Germany can get travel costs reimbursed according to the standards of the German Polish Youth Office when providing valid travel documents (http://www.dpjw.org/projektfoerderung/foerderantraegeabrechnung/reisekostenzuschuss-berechnen/).
