Learn the basics of baton twirling in the beginner class and then work your way into the Razzle Dazzles baton teams and corps. Adult Recreation DOG OBEDIENCE
AQUA ZUMBA
Basic dog obedience training with lots of praise; results in a good working, happy and reliable dog. You’ll teach you dog basic commands: heel, sit, stay, down and come. Dogs should be 8 weeks to 6 months for the puppy class and 7 months and older for beginner class. Do not bring your dog to the first class. Please bring a copy of your dog’s shot record.
Splash your way into shape with an invigorating low-impact aquatic exercise. Known as the Zumba® “pool party,” the Aqua Zumba program gives new meaning to the idea of a refreshing workout. Integrating the Zumba philosophy with traditional aquatic fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba® blends it all together into a workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief. One of the things that makes Aqua Zumba super appealing is the fact that no one can see your dance moves. You’re busting out body toning moves but people can only see your head, neck and shoulders! Bring a water bottle to this outdoor fitness pool party!

POLICIES OF ZION PARK DISTRICT SWIM LESSON PROGRAMS: 1. If your child misses a class due to illness, vacation, etc., your child will not receive a make-up lesson. 2. In case we cancel lessons due to weather conditions or mechanical difficulties, we will update the Zion Park District Website and Facebook page. We will announce when makeup will be offered at the next class. 3. Register your child early to reserve a spot in class. We strive to keep a low student ratio in our classes and when you register early, this enables us to plan accordingly, and in turn serve you better. Before test day, talk with your child’s swimming instructor and find out the progress your child has made for the next level. 4. Our swimming instructors enjoy teaching children, but all of us have different teaching styles. Please keep this in mind when observing lessons. We ask that if parents have questions or concerns please address them after the class. Parents we ask that you observe class from the pool deck away from the edge of the pool.

Often times a question arises as to who is a resident of the Park District. A resident must live within the boundaries of Zion Park District. It’s sometimes easy to confuse residency with a Zion mailing address. Many people in the area surrounding Zion have a five-digit Zion mailing address. These five-digit addresses are located in the county and are not within the boundaries of Zion Park District. A tax bill, voter registration card, or vehicle sticker receipt will help to establish your residency. The park district staff will be glad to answer any questions you may have regarding these fees.
