WELCOME LOGGERS FANS
TO THE 2021 FOOTBALL SEASON>>> WELCOME ALUMNI, PARENTS, STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO THE 2021 EUREKA HIGH LOGGER FOOTBALL SEASON! IT IS DEFINITELY NOT THE SEASON WE WERE EXPECTING. Even though we are not playing in Albee Stadium this year and have a limited number of spectators, we still have the most supportive and positive crowd in the Humboldt-Del Norte League. The coaching staff of both the JV and Varsity teams have committed hundreds of hours since last spring to truly prepare student-athletes who are connected to their school and community. With ever changing regulations and guidelines, the coaching staff has strived to keep the team connected. EHS is not only home to fabulous athletic teams, but also offers the largest array of academic, elective and career-technical classes in the area. We offer a variety of Advanced Placement and honors courses, classes dual enrolled with College of the Redwoods, a full slate of music, art and theater classes, AVID and CTE pathways in agri-science, ag mechanics, financial services, woodworking, culinary, auto and software/systems development. The EHS Football program is built around 7 core values: 1. Team First, 2. Perfect Effort, 3. Mental Toughness, 4. Toughness, 5. Accountability, 6. Competition, and 7. Character. I am proud that our student-athletes are working to achieve these core values and invite you to view their progress at www.eurekaloggersfootball.com.

A MESSAGE FROM THE >>>
ATHLETIC DIRECTOR AS WE BEGIN ANOTHER YEAR OF LOGGER FOOTBALL, IT IS MY GREAT PLEASURE TO WELCOME YOU TO ALBEE STADIUM AND EUREKA HIGH SCHOOL. We are so fortunate to have a Logger football season, after such a long period without sports in Humboldt County due to the COVID 19 pandemic. We are very fortunate to have committed and passionate coaches leading our student-athletes, alongside strong support from our community, staff, alumni and families. We know this year brings many new challenges along with ever changing guidelines for both our student athletes as well as our families and fans. We appreciate your support in following the California Public Health Department and Humboldt County Health Department guidelines to ensure safety for all our community members. Co-curricular athletics is the window to our school and it is our vision at EHS to use the playing field to continue the education of young men and women through their participation. High school sports give our student athletes the opportunity to build lifelong friendships, create positive memories, learn about success and failure and develop character. These will all foster our athletes to become men and women of integrity who will “lead, be responsible, and change the world for good.” Eureka High School is continuing their commitment to the InSideOut Initiative. The purpose of the InSideOut Initiative is “to transform the current “win-at-all-costs” sports culture where the value is often defined by the scoreboard, into one that defines and promotes sports as a human growth experience.” With a culture built on this foundation we will change the trajectory of our studentathletes’ lives. Finally, I would like to remind you of the need for all members of the Logger Family to promote and observe the important values of sportsmanlike behavior as exhibited both on the playing field and in the stands. Be a “good sport”, let the coaches coach and “Give the Game Back” to our studentathletes. It is an honor and privilege to serve as Athletic Director for Eureka High School. I am excited and passionate about the opportunity to serve you and hope that your experience at our athletic events is positive and enjoyable. GO LOGGERS! Sincerely,
Kristie Christiansen

HEAD COACH >>A MESSAGE FROM THE FOOTBALL
Welcome to the 2021 Eureka High School football season. During the Covid situation, we have worked hard to keep the players and coaches spirits up and look forward to getting on the field this Spring.
Our goal is to build and improve upon an athletic program that enriches our students through hard work, cooperation, and enthusiasm. We are constantly impressed by the dedication shown by our players and cannot wait to see what they are capable of not only during tonight’s game, but into the future as well. On behalf of the football program, I would also like to thank GameDay Media and the local business sponsors for their help in supporting our efforts in creating such a highquality program. Please consider supporting our sponsors with your business and be sure to thank them for supporting Eureka Football. Lastly, to those who have supported us in the past and to those who are supporting us now, to our sponsors, our community, our administration, our families and friends, we say STAY HEALTHY – WEAR A MASK – WASH YOUR HANDS and THANK YOU!
