TO THE 2020 FOOTBALL SEASON>>> On behalf of Gulf High School Administration and the Department of Athletics we would like to welcome you all to a new beginning here at Gulf High School as we kickoff our 2020 Buccaneer Football Season Campaign. The Gulf High School Football Program is designed to prepare and provide our student athletes with an opportunity to develop themselves within their areas of opportunity and to vastly build upon their development while competing within a championship driven program. The program itself is in its second year under the direction of Head Football Coach Daniel McLeod and with the support from both administration and a phenomenal coaching staff we are making a strong effort towards the creation of an incredible foundation for the future of our football program here at Gulf High School. Our focus is to position ourselves as a solid force within the realm of High School Athletics here in Pasco County and we work towards the successful transition of our student athletes to the next level for not only the game of football but for life after the game of football.

The year 2020 has experienced its ups and downs however we are making our strongest effort towards bringing our upcoming football season to life within the safest manner possible during these unprecedented times for our student athletes here at Gulf High School. These young men have put in a great deal of time and hard work towards making this upcoming season a special one for not only our fans, but for the entire Buccaneer Nation. With the development of our New Football Stadium and facilities there is a feeling of great excitement that surrounds our Gulf high School community. We thank you in advance for all of your support as we look forward to seeing you all this year cheering our young men on to victory this upcoming season. Daniel J. McLeod >> VARSITY HEAD COACH Daniel McLeod enters his second season as The Head Football Coach for the Gulf High School Buccaneer Football program. Coach McLeod is a native of Miami, Florida and a 2003 graduate of Miami Carol City Senior High School. He continued his education and athletic endeavors at Tuskegee University home of the Golden Tigers. In 2010, Coach McLeod graduated from Columbia Southern University and earned a baccalaureate degree with a concentration in business administration. Prior to his arrival at Gulf High School, Coach McLeod brought with him over a decade and a half of knowledge, leadership, and experience. He spent the first five years of his career at Miami Douglas MacArthur North Senior High School as an offensive coordinator and an associate head football coach, helping the Eagles win their first-ever conference championship in 2009. Coach McLeod also coached two all-conference selections (Robert Jordan and Kenyatta Sessions) during his tenure with the Eagles. The next four years Coach McLeod worked as an Assistant Football Coach and co- offensive coordinator for Gaither Senior High School in Tampa, Fla. Gaither captured the 2012 district title and multiple playoff appearances during his time as a cowboy. Running backs Shug Oyegunle, Vu Lee, running back/linebacker Jamari Cord and quarterback Alex McGough earned all-conference honors playing under Coach McLeod. In 2014, Coach McLeod was named Athletic Director and Head Football Coach for Gattaca Florida, a Junior Collegiate Prep Academy in Tampa, Florida. Coach Mcleod spent three years with the program and under his leadership he led the Hurricanes to a share of the Eastern Atlantic Conference Championship in 2015, an undefeated season in 2017 which led to a District Championship, and a National Championship Playoff Appearance. Coach McLeod from there moved onto the collegiate level where he served as an Assistant Football Coach for the Warriors of Waldorf University working with the Running Backs under his direction he was able to help produce two all-conference selections Maliek Stephens and Darryel Bethune in 2016. From 2018 to 2019 Coach McLeod has spent time as the Head Football Coach for Pasco Middle School, and The Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for Pasco High School. Coach Mcleod currently serves our school community as an educator for Gulf High School within the Exceptional Student Education department and is a loving father to three beautiful daughters Michelle, Keimari, and Gia McLeod.

Gregory Williams >> ASST. HEAD COACH/DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR/DEFENSIVE LINE Coach Gregory Williams is in his 16th year of coaching and second year with The Gulf High School Football Program. Coach Williams serves as the Assistant Head Football Coach and Varsity Defensive Coordinator. Prior to becoming a part of Gulf High School, he served as the Defensive Coordinator at Gattaca Florida, a Junior Collegiate Prep Academy in Tampa, Florida for over 4 years. He has also coached at Pasco High School (Defensive line), Pasco Middle School (Defensive Coordinator), and at Gaither Senior High School (Assistant Def. Coordinator/ Defensive line). Coach Williams is a graduate of Jefferson High School and he attended Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). Coach Williams is a loving father of three children and a retired Military Veteran that served for the US Army

Christina Walker >> STRENGTH & CONDITIONTING/LINEBACKERS Coach Christina Walker, is a proud US Naval Veteran, and is in her first year with Gulf High School Football. Coach Walker serves as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and will also serve as the Varsity Linebackers coach for the Buccaneer Football Program. She has been a member of Coach Mcleod’s coaching staff for over 4 years, with stops at Gattaca Florida, a Junior Collegiate Prep Academy in Tampa, Florida and Pasco Middle School. Her other stops include her time in Wisconsin as an assistant football coach with the Wisconsin Warriors and the St. Francis warriors youth football program. Prior to her coaching career, she was blessed with a playing career that lasted over 14 years within The Women’s professional football circuit, with multiple teams, and earning 2 National Championships.

Joe Schoepf >> JVHEAD COACH/OFFENSIVE LINE Coach Joe Schoepf will enter his sixth year of coaching and first year with The Gulf High School Football Program. Coach Schoepf will be serving as the Varsity Offensive Line Coach and the Junior Varsity Head Football Coach for the 2020 season. Prior to his arrival at Gulf Coach Schoepf has had multiple stops that range from middle school, high school, to the collegiate level. Outside of football, coach Schoepf is married to his lovely wife and he currently serves our future Buccaneers as a Science teacher at Gulf Middle School.

Jordan Gold >> ASSISTANT/WIDE RECEIVERS Coach Jordan Gold is in his 1st year coaching with the Gulf High School Football Program. Coach Gold will serve as the Varsity Wide Receivers coach for the 2020 season. Before coming to Gulf, he was a recruiting and operations assistant at East Tennessee State University for 2 years, until recently graduating in May with a Bachelors of Science in Sport Management.

Glenn Toy >> JV DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR/RECRUITMENT/EFENSIVE BACKS Coach Glenn Toy will enter his fifth year of coaching and his first year with The Gulf High School Football Program. Coach Toy hails from Pittsburgh, PA and will be serving as the Varsity Defensive Backs Coach and the Junior Varsity Defensive Coordinator for the 2020 season. Before his arrival to the Buccaneer Football Program Coach Toy attended Slippery Rock University where he got his Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Physical Education. While attending Slippery Rock he joined the football staff as a student assistant in 2015. After graduating in 2017, he was offered a position with the slippery rock football program as the defensive quality control coach and assistant defensive backs coach. After multiple years of success, he looks forward to bringing his knowledge to student athletes here at Gulf High School. Coach Toy currently serves our community as a teacher for Cotee River Elementary School.

LaRay Hardy >> ASSISTANT/DEFENSIVE LINE Coach LaRay Hardy will enter his thirteenth year of coaching and his first year with The Gulf High School Football Program. Coach Hardy will be serving as the Varsity and Junior Varsity Defensive Line Coach for the 2020 season. Before his arrival to the Buccaneer Football Program Coach Hardy spent over a decade building our future buccaneers at the youth level with the New Port Richey PAL Football program. Coach Hardy has also made coaching contributions at River Ridge Middle School, where he currently serves as an educator within exceptional student education. Coach Hardy has a Bachelor’s Degree in communication and a Master’s Degree in Education from Saint Thomas Aquinas college in New York. Coach Hardy is a loving Father of one daughter.

Christopher Snyder >> JV OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR/RUNNING BACKS Coach Christopher Snyder is starting his first year with Gulf High School Football, and will serve as the Varsity running backs coach, Junior Varsity Offensive Coordinator, and Assistant strength and conditioning coach. Prior to his return to GHS, his Alma Mater, he was the Head football coach at Chasco Middle School for three years, and under his leadership he was able to bring multiple years of success within the program. Coach Snyder retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of service, and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Saint Leo University in 2014. He and his lovely wife have three beautiful daughters, as well as seven grandchildren.
