WELCOME PANTHERS FANS

TO THE 2020 FALL SPORTS SEASON>>> WELCOME TO THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR AND FALL ATHLETICS. I am honored to be part of the Panther nation! Although this school year continues to be different from what we are accustomed to, athletics remains an important component of our school as we continue to develop servant leaders on and off the field. Our coaches have adapted current health and safety guidelines as they train our student athletes to not only play their best, but to be their best in every aspect of their lives. In a Christian school like ours, this is a priceless investment in our students that can have eternal significance.

A MESSAGE FROM THE >>>

BOOSTER CLUB WELCOME TO THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR AND FALL ATHLETICS. I am very excited about our upcoming year and the opportunity to see our student athletes compete. The Lord chooses to combine faith, high academic standards, and a championship spirit! I believe we are in for an exciting year as the school continues to experience His blessings in athletics, in the classroom, and in our students’ hearts. Progress continues to be made on our new indoor workout facility. The roof has been finished. Next up will be tape and bed of the exposed walls, new 10’ x 12’ roll up door, installation of rubber floor in weight room and turf in the remainder of the facility, and new weight room equipment. Look for the project to be completed before the end of the year. Because of many generous donors, our booster club members, and the hard work of our student athletes and coaches, the goal of improving our athletic facilities continues to become a reality. The Athletic Booster Club is pivotal to PCA’s success and enables many of the lessons learned by our students that cannot be replicated anywhere else outside of the court or field of competition. Some of these lessons include the value of hard work, leadership, and teamwork. If you have not already become a member of the Athletic Booster Club, I encourage you to join myself and our current members in this incredible organization. Whatever sport you are a fan of, I would like to invite you to cheer hard for our teams and encourage all participants involved in the competition. PCA is a special place due to people like you and the relationships fostered through programs such as athletics. So, whether it is another family in the stands, a teacher, or an opponent, please take the time to get to know a few people while you are here and share in the blessing that it is to be a part of God’s Kingdom. Go Panthers!

Chris Hughes .

HEAD COACH >>A MESSAGE FROM THE FOOTBALL

THE MISSION OF PANTHER FOOTBALL IS “TO DEVELOP MEN USING THE PLATFORM OF FOOTBALL”. We are blessed with a well experienced coaching staff that seeks to not only develop our athletes into better football players but to grow them into godly young men of character. Football teaches integrity, unity, personal responsibility, discipline, loyalty and mental toughness. The Pantego football team is a brotherhood. When a young man decides to play football at PCA at the middle and high school level, they will experience the unique opportunity to start their year off by developing a bond that will continue to grow among their teammates for years to come.

The 2020 season will be one to remember. The culture is building and it’s an exciting time to be a Panther. The football program appreciates your support and we hope to see you cheering on our teams this fall. AS ONE,

Coach Sells

HEAD COACH >>A MESSAGE FROM THE VOLLEYBALL

Having a RELENTLESS spirit and overall sense of purpose is exactly what the 2020 Lady Panther Volleyball team is all about. We have some unfinished business left over from last season and with new leadership, tons of focused energy, and our RELENTLESS attitude the BOOM BABY Volleyball program will be back on top yet again. Get ready to come out, get loud, and enjoy some fast paced, high energy volleyball that we will all be proud of in the 2020 season.

Carolee Dillard Varsity Head Coach

Carolee Dillard >> VARSITY HEAD COACH Carolee was born and raised in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She is the youngest of 4 and has a cocker spaniel named, Precious. Carolee grew up playing multiple sports but fell in love with volleyball and basketball. She played both Division 1 volleyball and basketball at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. During her collegiate career, she won 2 conference titles in both sports and made it to the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament in volleyball. Throughout her college career, she won numerous MVP/Honors awards and broke the program record (564) and Sun Belt rally-scoring record (566) for career blocks and still holds the title. After her collegiate career, Carolee decided to play professional basketball in Europe. While playing she was named Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year, First Team honors and All-Import Team during her 2 seasons of playing. After being away from home for nearly 6 years, she decided to stay in America to be closer to friends and family. She received her bachelor’s degree in Health Science and master’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She has always gravitated towards coaching and prays one day to be an Athletic Director at the collegiate level.

>>PANTEGO CHRISTIAN ACADEMY C H E E R M I S S I O N S TAT E M E N T : It is our mission to uphold the spirit, pride, and tradition of the Pantego Christian Academy Panthers through the unification of the student body, alumni and fans. The PCA cheer program strives to provide students a setting to glorify God through the development and exercise of personal character, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and athletic ability. PCA cheerleaders will learn to stand proud on the sidelines, but also stand firm on the word of God and practice Christlike characteristics which include: respect, responsibility, leadership, and servanthood. In victory or defeat, students are taught to demonstrate both grace and dignity. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10
