>>A MESSAGE FROM THE TROJANS

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR Dear Trojan Football Program,

I wish you much success for the 2020 Football Season. As student-athletes, your responsibilities on the field and in the classroom are demanding at times. To be successful in both areas you will need to efficiently manage your time, but more importantly dedicate yourself to giving your best effort at every opportunity. Leave nothing but your best effort in the weight room, on the field, and in the classroom. Football is a demanding sport. It takes a special person to endure the demands of a football season. You will learn many lessons on the field that will prepare you well for life. Hard work pays off. The importance of being a team player. How to play by the rules. How nothing worth having comes without hard work, avoid the shortcuts. You will not be measured by the adversity you will no doubt face at some point in the classroom or on the field; you will be measured by how you respond to that adversity. So keep your chin up, shoulders back, and make the next play. You will not be successful on the next play if you are still focused on the last play. I wish you the best this season and hope the lessons you learn this season will provide a foundation of success for the rest of your life. Compete with determination and pride, play for each other, and win or lose always display proper sportsmanship.

GO TROJANS!!! Sincerely,

Jim Cairnes WHS Athletic Director

HEAD COACH >>A MESSAGE FROM THE FOOTBALL

The 2020 Trojan football team and coaches would like to welcome parents, students, and high school football fans to Wissahickon Trojan Stadium.

The Wissahickon High School family hope you enjoy the performances of all the students tonight, the cheerleaders, the band, and the athletes. These students have spent countless hours for this contest in addition to being students. We ask that you continue the tradition of the Wissahickon community of exhibiting good sportsmanship in supporting your team and have fun. Thank you parents of all our players for the support that you have given to your son and the football program; without your involvement and support, Wissahickon football would not be possible. On behalf of all the coaching staff, we are grateful of the support from central office administration, Athletic Director, and all the high school principals, teachers, and our families who stand behind our team.
