MENTAL CONTRASTING

This simple process helps us stay accounatable to our priorities by anctipcating obstacles

The basic process is WOOP WISH, OUTCOME, OBSTACLE, PLAN

W

The "W" stands for "Wish" what do you want? What's the dream? Choose your top priority, or a priority that you haven't been making time for, that'll be your "W"

O

Take some time to envision the best possible "Outcome." What's the ideal outcome here? This may be the same as W, or it may be slightly different.

O

The third step is identifying your "Obstacles." Identify what's going to get in the way of you completing this task. (i.e. people, notifications, conflicting deadlines)

P

The last step is to make a "Plan" for how your'e going to address those obstacles when they arise. This step is so important, because it requires us to set boundaries

THINGS TO REMEMBER It’s how we spend our time here and now, that really matters. If you are fed up with the way you have come to interact with time, change it. Until you value yourself, you will not value your time. Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it.
