WELCOME
As we welcome sunshine and warmer days, spring is a time to connect with the outdoors, our community, and our artistic ambitions. GoggleWorks is always looking to further its own ambitions and I am happy to say that we will be launching a printmaking studio this spring. Learn different printing techniques such as woodcuts, linocuts, and screen-printing in this new green, eco-friendly studio. This term our Handcrafted Home series of workshops is again offering the opportunity to enrich your home with a beautiful object just in time for spring. Come make a wooden salad bowl, glass tumbler, or a terracotta planter—they also make unique and thoughtful Mother’s and Father’s Day gifts. Our youth and family programs include new offerings like the Teen Studio Sampler—a great way for teens, ages 13-17, to find a new passion or continue to build their portfolio. For families with children ages 7-12, we invite you to bring the whole family out and enjoy a unique weekend creating together in our new Mini-Makers! Family Workshops. Last, I invite you to join us in a very special event on the evening of April 29th—our Spring Iron Pour. Offered in partnership with Albright College and led by our visiting artist, sculptor Brian Glaze, we will be melting reclaimed iron to over 2900°F and giving it new life as it is poured into handmade molds created in a scratch block workshop, offered that morning. Visit our website to learn more about our spring offerings and register today!
