Speculative Landscapes
In this imaginary landscape, there were a lot of fault lines, hills, valleys etc. My inspiration was the picture in the middle of my sketch. Some faults are more dense than others to create a contrast even with itself, Although the hills goes more fluid.

AMPHIBIAN: VIVUS COLUMPNA
In today’s Istanbul, the transformation of the beaches into filled areas with concrete molds causes the lose of connection between people and sea which can be seen Caddebostan. The main purpose of this project is letting the people feel the sea on a spatial place instead of sitting the concrete molds.

What would be the purpose? What is the concept? How can be used?
Those questions made me think this structure’s abilities and the interrelation with sea and the ground.

Extreme Storage: Rug Museum of Taşkale
10
This project was in a small village of Karaman, Turkey which is called Taşkale. There has been a lot of thing where they were “stored” there despite of being a small village. For instance, there are some mechanism that stores water or there are some kind of depots at the entrance of the village. Although the things that were stored are mainly physical, culture was also stored. The point is this project considers about cultural storage. That’s why my idea is a museum.

how to STORE culture?
12
For storing culture, I’ve chosen “traditional rugs” (kilim) because the ornaments on them can change by region. This idea brings the thoughts about how can rugs stored? In my project, it should have been a musem. The idea started to become more accurate for me but I did not want a normal museum where the pieces in there are only displayed. I wanted to make the visitors feel every step how these were made. Visitors can experience everything there even sewing a rug for souvenirs.
