THE QUEEN
A love of horses and theatre may have lead Elizabeth down an entirely different life path had her father George not become the King of England.
Queen Elizabeth II, born on April 21, 1926 was a Taurean with a strong sense of duty, commitment and loyalty, which made her a perfect role model for her country when she became the Monarch on February 6 1952 following the death of her father.
Affectionally called Lilibet by her family she also was nicknamed “The Steadfast’ by her biographer Douglas Hurd, as Elizabeth epitomised the consummate leader with a staunch approach her royal duties.
She was born at 2.40am in Mayfair, London. The first child of the Duke and Duchess of York who later became King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.
While her sun sign in Taurus was an indication of her aspirations her moon sign was in Leo, reflecting her emotions and private life.
As such the Queen was very theatrical, had a quick wit, and was very regal and enjoyed hosting many celebratory occasions that involved music and performance.
Her Leo moon was also connected to the planet Neptune, making her very spiritually-oriented and compassionate, perhaps a side not often seen by the public.
With the planet Mercury in her chart located in the sign of Aries, the Queen was a strong communicator who never minced her words and enjoyed discussing and exchanging ideas.
Although her ascendant was in the sign of Capricorn making her very traditional, her moon in Leo reflected a progressive approach to life and she was armed with a quick wit and great sense of humour.
The Queen’s Mars was in Aquarius indicating teamwork and collective goals were a priority for he rather than taking an egotistical stance on her position of power.
Mars in the first house gave her a strong constitution and the stamina and energy to confidentially pursue her passions. From a young age the Queen took a keen interest in horses, which later lead to breeding and riding for pleasure.
She shared a close bond with Prince Philip, who also had a Leo moon making them a compassionate, considerate and proud couple.
Leo moon personalities like to be ‘King of their Castle’ however Philip particularly seemed secure in his own worth, so they both were able to be individuals in the relationship together, admiring, respecting and supporting the other.
Venus in the sign of Pisces showed a compassionate and self-sacrificing person, who was also very imaginative and spiritual. Her strong Christian faith has been evident throughout her life through words and actions.
“Pray for me….that God may give me wisdom and strength to carry out the solemn promises I shall be making and that I may faithfully serve him and you all the days of my life.” – Quote from the Queen.
