THE SOCIAL KING OF QUEENSLAND The official launch of Hyatt Regency Brisbane’s GlamouRossi Fashion Series drew a capacity crowd comprised of the fashion, style and social set from Brisbane and both the Gold and Sunshine Coasts for its inaugural event, The GlamouRossi Fashion Long Lunch. Hosted by our own Damien Anthony Avery-Rossi, the sold-out Hamptons-themed afternoon was held on the hotel’s beautiful rooftop Hibiscus Poolside Terrace with guests embracing both The Hamptons and GlamouRossi dress themes with Best Dressed prizes awarded to the Goldy’s Vanessa Anderson and Brisbane’s Louise Owen. The lavish long table lunch featured the premiere of Queensland, hairdressing icon Stefan, and partner Rose King’s new fashion and homewares boutique, Bach Boutique, showcasing the design labels they will carry in a colourful parade styled by Kellie Alderman. Other highlights included an interview with surprise guest, Real Housewives of Melbourne star, Simone Elliott, and one guest winning a stunning diamond necklace from Starfire Diamonds in the day’s charity raffle. HRB’s next GlamouRossi event is the Sex & The City Trivia Soirée on December 7.

OLSSON’S 25TH ANNIVERSARY
Stamford Plaza Brisbane Hotel’s beautiful River Garden was a setting with a significance for the glittering 25th anniversary party of fashion and racing identity Dale Olsson and husband Jim, as it was the exact same spot where the pair were married a quarter century ago. Wearing ‘a touch of silver’ in an ode to the Gold Coast couple’s silver anniversary, the 50 guests were served champagne and canapés including Pacific oysters with caviar and prawns with avocado. As a special surprise, the lovebirds renewed their marriage vows under the same pergola where they first became husband and wife. After the ceremony, the anniversary cake was cut and guests danced the evening away to the tunes of DJ Dino Borgo.
