Reno Rules – Daniella Winter takes us through one of her projects

RENO RULES!

THE CURRENT REAL ESTATE MARKET IS THE NEW GOLD RUSH. DANIELLA WINTER, 2017 HOUSE RULES WINNER, TAKE US THROUGH ONE OF THEIR PROJECTS.

Our vision was straight forward - take a partially demolished house and using our ideas and experience, turn it into a modern coastal masterpiece. In short we wanted to give the house life!

The house itself had very good bones so we had a good base for a starting point. We were committed to take on the challenge of turning it into an extremely liveable and unique home within three months and then putting it straight back on the market. As you will see from the before and after photographs, we used unique building techniques to lift the ceiling heights to cleverly create light for the interior and build an artistic flow throughout the house.

With Aaron’s background as a successful builder and mine as an entertainer and interior stylist, we thought we could make this project work on all levels using both of our skill sets. My other key contribution is bringing my talents in entertainment to a job site and trying to keep the stress levels way down low. (Ha! Ha!) Since the completion of this build we have renovated another two houses, 14 bathrooms and done numerous other side projects. Currently we are giving renovations a break as our media career has taken over with our new, upcoming segments on Weekender Channel 7 Queensland and I am also working as a presenter on Better Homes and Gardens also on Channel 7.
