Gigi Rich What made you feel like music was your passion?

It was honestly when I joined drama club in middle school that I began to come out of my shell. Nobody around me at school Music is what I would always turn to no had any idea I liked to sing or even could matter how I was feeling, whether happy, sing for that matter.... or that I even sad, calm or anxious...it's always there for played an instrument. It helped me make me. I'm obsessed with it. Whether I am a lot of friends and find my place....my writing or just listening, I am constantly calling surrounded by music and know that it will be a passion of mine for the rest of You graduated high school at 16....WOW! my life That is something a lot of kids don't get to say. How does that feel? And your I read in your bio that you wrote a song advice to others on achieving that? at the age of 13 that led you to top the Songwriter’s Circle charts for several Thanks! It was music. I would say that you just have to originally part of a poem I had written, be very disciplined and don't let yourself and then one day I sat down at the piano slack off for even one day because it's and created the song. What was your most memorable moment from being on The Voice? The most memorable moment was absolutely when Gwen turned her chair around for me at the blind audition. I was in the middle of the highest note in the song when I saw her and I freaked out! I almost forgot to keep singing lol. It was the most amazing feeling. I know some people who suffer from mental illness. I know how tough it can be to that person and for their entire family and anyone around them to cope with it. So I think it's important to keep mental health awareness alive and end the stigma against certain types of illness. I feel like it makes people reluctant to open up and afraid to get help. I care a lot about domestic violence organizations because some people very close to me have been in very damaging relationships. They can be impossible to get out of, and I want people to feel like they have a group of people that support them. What do you want people to know most about you?

Summer is fast approaching, and what better season is there in the year really? We are all off college, school, university etc so, why not take this opportunity to make some well deserved memories with your friends? Something which I have always loved the idea of is a summer bucket list. It’s the same principal as a normal bucket list in which you collate a list of things you want to do before you die, but, on a much smaller scale. So, a summer bucket list, you create a list of things to do during summer and at the end of summer you can take a look back at your list and see how many amazing things you’ve done!! Now, it is only April, and FINALLY, the start of spring is here. I know that summer still is a couple of months away, but why not start your summer bucket list in spring - it cheats the name a bit, but if you get extra fun does it really matter?! Of course it doesn’t!! I thought, you know what, because you’re all such lovelies that I’d help you with your spring / summer bucket lists, so I’ve made a list of ULTIMATE SUMMER FUN for you to take inspiration from and to make your own summer bucket list, and I’ve even put together some essential print outs which you can use. Making memories with friends is something which is priceless, and I’d love to see any that you complete - so remember every time you complete something from your bucket list, or even when you have completed your bucket list tweet me a picture @gabbyfabrizio and I’ll include it in a summary article at the end of summer! So make sure your summer bucket lists are the most imaginative. Talk to Gabby on these social networks: Twitter: @gabbyfabrizio Instagram: @gabbyfabrizio Official Website: gabbyfabrizio.com/

What drew you into acting? I loved watching stand-up comedy and growing up with a Mexican family novellas were always playing in our household!! What is your favorite part about playing on Bunk'd? It's really awesome working on the show because I can be at camp but without snakes, bears, scorpions etc. Also, what I love about being on the show is that I have an amazing cast and family. Is your character anything like you in real life? I definitely see some of the younger goofier me in Jorge because I have this crazy imagination, as well and I and Jorge clearly dress ourselves, but the Nathan in Jorge mainly shows up in Season 2. How is it working for Disney? It is a lot of fun working for Disney because whenever I get recognized and people tell me

There are thousands of definitions of what beauty is. It differs from person to person depending on how they see things, places and people. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It has been depicted through pictures and different concepts penetrating our minds. Beauty has been defined in so many ways, but it is simple. Beauty is happiness. Today, messages and information are being portrayed all over social media. It is happening faster than we could’ve imagined. Life is becoming more demanding everyday with images and videos everywhere showing us what we should look like and how we should be. However, in life everybody is different, each body, each smile and down to each piece of hair. Beauty is often distorted and misunderstood by a wide range of pressures. It is something we endlessly strive for, rather than see in the true essence of our happiest moments. We tend to judge a book by its cover as physical appearance is the first thing we see. The first impression is always the most expensive because of what we could lose. The priority each individual sets on their appearance is to deny the quality and beauty of the spirit. If you choose to focus on the beauty within somebody or yourself, you will receive the true value. We are all unique individuals, with experiences and memories which form into our own versions of beauty. We are all different shapes and sizes. We are mothers, daughters, brothers and sisters. Remember those people and those voices you hear saying negative things, do not speak the truth. They are simply the whispers of insecurity. Ignore the negative thoughts and voices you hear around you from the individuals who simply can’t understand beauty. Be happy. Do something that has purpose to you. When this happens, your true beauty will begin to show. Images and moments inspire and represent the most distinct attractiveness of our souls. It’s the moments we feel real. It’s the moments we feel proud and important. It’s the moments we feel alive. We are the lives that we can change and create, and that is beauty. Rebecca Fenemore

How did you get started in the modeling industry and how do you stray away from the fashion industry's need for 'Perfect' models?

How do you deal with auditions and not getting the part sometimes?

I'm petite, but I don't let that stop me. I believe that models come in all shapes and sizes, so why not petite, right?

Ashleigh Ross Social Media Australian star, Ashleigh Ross just won a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award on March 13th and she is so happy stating "literally crying. thank you so much to everyone who helped me win a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award. I am honestly so shocked. I love every single one of you to the moon and back. This wouldn't have been possible without you." on Instagram the next day. Ashleigh is actress, dancer, and singer. I got a chance to chat with her and learn more about her.

How did you get started? My sister inspired me to get into dancing when I was around 3 years old. It's such a funny story! She actually came home from a dance competition one day and had won a huge trophy. I wanted one so badly that I asked my mum to put me into dance class so I could get one too! From there, I slowly started acting and singing classes, and have been performing ever since. What has been your favorite thing about acting? My favorite thing about acting is learning about a character and getting to become that person. It's so incredible when you receive a storyline and you get to turn into this interesting character that is so far from who you really are. I absolutely love it. What is your most memorable moment so far while being a social media star? I'm still getting used to the term social media star. I love social media and I'm so lucky that it has turned into what it has. I recently won a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award, which was absolutely incredible. I never would've been nominated for that award without my social media! What is your advice to young girls who want to become something in the industry you are in? Stay true to who you are. Be strong, be kind and be hard working! But most importantly, stay happy. This industry can be a little tricky at times but as long as you stay happy and strong, you will go such a long way.

Nikki Leigh is a 28 year old American actress and model who attended California State University of Fullerton. Based off of her work, I would say Nikki is the IT girl you can't turn away from. What was it like growing up in Orange County? Growing up in Orange County was beautiful. First off, it is California so the weather was always pleasurable which allowed me to take advantage of outdoor activities. I love being active. I was always at the beach or at the park. Orange County has always felt safe and is a great place to raise a family. What inspired you to become an actress? I have always had an outgoing personality and had that itch for performing. I used to express my desire to perform through dance, cheer, and sports. It wasn't until after college that acting became an option. In college, I was a psychology major and I loved learning about how to understand one's self and others. Acting for me is an expressive way of psychology. It allows you to correctly express and react as someone else. It is inspiring.

Were there any other talents or dreams you had?

Yes, of course. I wanted to sing and dance. Britney Spears was my number one. I wanted to do what she did so bad. I still do! Expression of music has always been a form of therapy for me. I have only one tattoo and it’s a very tiny music notes wrapped around a heart.

"If you have a thicker model and then Photoshop her to be thinner, what kind of message are you putting out there? Definitely not saying to love thy self."

We rehearsed all week with each day having new script revisions and on Friday, we did the show in front of a live studio audience. It was super thrilling! To have the crowd's energy with you throughout the whole episode was magical and an experience I will always cherish. "The Wedding Ringer" is such a hilarious movie. Tell us about your character and your time on set. Wasn't it though!? I was so blessed to be around such a hilarious bunch of people. Our shoot was from 6 pm until 6 am! It was super intense and, of course, during one of the first weeks on set, I was also doing jury duty so I was basically up for 24 hours. Also, the cast was amazing! Getting to work with Josh Gad who just killed it in The Beauty and the Beast and Kevin Hart was such a treat! My character is one of Kevin Hart’s group of people who help Josh Gad's character have a bachelor party he’ll never forget! I get taken along as we rush Josh to the hospital and as we get pulled over I express that I am underage. I had to say so many random things and the line that got used in the final footage was "I'm only 15." People still quote that to me when they see me. I love it! What audition that you’ve been on stands out in your mind the most — whether it be because it was really amazing, or really terrible? That is hard. When it comes to my performance I try and leave all I have in the room. I usually walk out of every audition

feeling accomplished that I did my best and then I literally throw my sides out in the trash. If you leave and keep thinking about what you could have done then you will drive yourself nuts. I remember one audition I did for director Robert Rodriguez I had a couple scenes to perform for him but one of them I had to act like I just got out of a crazy make-out session in a locker room. When they called action I bent over and whipped my hair back super intense and I got so dizzy that I stumbled. I finished the scene with a bit of humor. Robert laughed and said that that must have been one crazy time in the locker room. In the end, I got the job! What is an on-set memory you will never forget? My most precious on set memory is from when I was shooting a movie in Turkey last year. We filmed in a very old town called Urgup in the region of Cappadocia where these people lived in these clay-like homes. These homes were so beautifully crafted. I remember there were always these stray dogs running around our camp. The locals were so excited to have us there that they would always be just watching us as we walked from set to base camp just hoping to catch a glimpse of this such glamorous and foreign lifestyle. One day, in particular, these little girls came running up to me after a cut one day and gave me the gift of their home grown grapes and this huge sunflower! The sunflower had a huge center where the sunflower seeds grew. I had never eaten sunflower seeds from a sunflower before and they taught me how to properly eat a sunflower seed. I remember I was so happy to have such kind and generous people around me. I hung out

with them practicing my Turkish for my whole lunch, basically forgot to even go eat. I wanted to give these kind folks my full attention and gratitude. What is your advice to beginner actors and actresses?

Why was education so important to you? Education is everything! I love to learn. I love to teach. If you are not learning, then I believe you are dead. We always need to be expanding our minds so that we can grow as human

beings. I am just such a huge believer in the Don’t give up! And always love you for you. education system and I want to make sure As an actor, you should make choices that when kids are young they take when you perform and I believe the best advantage of their education because it has choices come from a place of self-love and such a great influence on who these confidence. What are your thoughts on magazines using Photoshop on models and actresses? That is a great question. I hate it! I honestly just wish we weren't so blinded by this thought of perfection. It is sad how everyone uses Photoshop on their social media now and so that nobody in real life looks like their pictures. I don't mind a little blemish cover up here and there, but some of the Photoshop I have seen is crazy. If you have a thicker model and then Photoshop her to be thinner, what kind of message are you putting out there? Definitely not saying to love thy self. What is your advice to those teens who read those magazines and feel discouraged because they don’t feel like they are the “perfect/ideal size”? There is NO PERFECT SIZE! Each person has a different thought on what size 'beautiful' is. We are all out here, especially teens, looking for someone to love us and care about us and once you start to love yourself then you allow that soulmate to come to you. They will be attracted to you for the person you are. It breaks my heart when I hear about girls with eating disorders and image problems. I recently got introduced to a young teenage exchange student visiting a family I knew for a few months. She was here through an exchange program in Australia. She had an eating disorder. I was able to tell right away. I went straight into my nurturing mode and I ended up giving her extra attention. After the first hour, she confided in me and told me all about her problem. It was amazing that

this girl opened up to me so quickly, but I felt like I needed to show her how beautiful she was and help her see that. We spent a good couple hours talking and crying and hugging. The next day I was told by my friend that the exchange student had eaten everything at every meal since we talked the day before. It warmed my heart so much! And by the end of her stay, I got a report about how my couple hours of attention and love changed her. She ate every remaining meal with the family, was able to then have enough energy to take part in all the activities the family had planned and was also just a happier girl all around. It is one of my proudest moments as a person. What do you wish your younger self knew about this business that you know now? That it won't be easy. That I must have to be more patient than I ever thought possible. And to not stress so much about what you can't control. You can catch Nikki in 'A Girl Is A Gun' coming out May 2017. A BMI affiliated pop/EDM artist and songwriter, as well as the vocalist and keyboardist for alternative rock band, Blind Revision. We got a chance to talk to her about her music, advice and her EP ' Dangerous' How did you get into music? I started singing in front of people when I was about 4 years old at school performances and things like that. When I was a few years older, I took piano lessons. I’ve always felt like music is a natural part of what I do and who I am. When I got older, I found like-minded people in the music community and everything went on from there. Why did you decide to start a band instead of being solo first? It’s very hard to start doing something when you don’t know what you’re doing. Being in a band allowed me to meet lots of people and I learned a ton of different things from them. I also was able to learn what I would and wouldn’t deal with in the industry. Music is made up of a community, and that’s very important. Playing on stage with other people is also easier. I used to be shy so I had to build up more confidence before I was actually comfortable performing. What made you want to do a solo project?

I listen to almost all genres of music. The band is wonderful, but I wanted to branch out and explore different sounds also. I think if you only listen to one genre, it really limits what you can create. I just didn’t want to put myself into a box, and I wanted to explore other things I can do. Which do you like better: Solo or Band and why? I like both! The wonderful thing about being in a band is having crazy experiences with your friends. Everyone in Blind Revision is genuinely my friend. We have hilarious memories together. So being able to play music onstage with that energy is awesome. However, when you are dealing with a group of people, it also takes a long time to get things done, and I’m impatient. Going solo is great if you know what you want and if you are good at making decisions. That way, you can get more stuff done in a shorter amount of time because you only have to answer to yourself. But it can get lonely sometimes during the writing process if you are used to writing with other people. There are pros and cons to both. Why name your EP 'Dangerous'? Dangerous, in my opinion, is a very upbeat, yet somewhat mysterious party song that I think

lots of people would enjoy. It’s one of my favorite songs on the EP. I wanted that one to draw people’s attention. What made you go to a more pop genre of music as a solo artist? In the industry as a whole, I think there are more opportunities for pop artists as opposed to rock or metal artists. I don’t think that’s necessarily fair, but it’s true. Since I love both genres, I wanted to showcase the fact that I can do both. Is rock or pop your favorite genre? I like both! I listen to both every single day. Your advice to new artists? My advice would be to make a lot of friends. Networking is the most important thing you can do. Don’t be afraid to send emails to people you’ve never met and talk to people at live music events in your town/city. That’s how the magic happens. They will know someone who can help you, or you will know someone who can help them. It’s a partnership. And of course, work hard! You will have to work your butt off. This business is time consuming. If you want success, you probably will be busy all the time. If you are not busy all the time, you aren’t working hard enough.

What made you start writing in the first place?

When a young boy from the future comes to warn these girls from the present about something urgent in order to save their town, everything they once knew and thought was real, is now shrouded in mystery. Filming for the show has been a very exciting and challenging experience so far, and spending time with the cast outside of filming has definitely been a highlight of the whole process. My advice for young individuals who are interested in media, writing, or the arts, is to pursue their passions and be persistent when reaching for their goals. With my experience as a young author, I have learned that having patience, perseverance, and dedication is key. Trusting in your work and believing in your capabilities will help you succeed. With my experience as a young Youtuber, I would make similar suggestions. We got a chance to talk to the company about the real reason behind the design. Why was safety such a big factor for your customers when you created this? In October 2011, my grandfather, Dominic Cameratta, fell in his home. He was unable to call for help and was left unheard for several hours. Tragically, he did not fully recover from this fall and passed away in December 2011. Instead of accepting this occurrence as "just an accident," I, sought to “right this wrong and solve this problem. In 2013, I began building what would become WiseWear from my San Antonio garage with the goal of developing a family of connected IoT safety devices that could predict, prevent and alert their loved ones in times of potential danger. We have expanded on this concept and focus predominately on women for our first product offering. Do you plan to come out with other technology to help make lives better?

Yes, we have several new concepts that are currently under development ranging from jewelry wearables to hearables and smart apparel. What do you think you can do for society with your ideas? Safety is one of the main pillars of our company. Our objective is to create a suite of safety products for children, young adults, mature and elderly adults. Why is this an important device for society? Reducing the chance of violent crimes by increasing situational awareness is one of the key factors in providing a safe environment for everyone. Our current product offering provides distress messaging and creates a safety net for any woman who feels threatened.
