Pregnancy skincare can be a bit of a minefield, what are some things you need to avoid? Retinol, Salicylic Acid and Benzoyl Peroxide would be the main ingredients to avoid in pregnancy. These are commonly found in skincare for acne and breakouts. Championing Female Entrepreneurship is a huge passion for you and you launched Skin Formulas while pregnant. What tips or advice do you have for working moms and budding entrepreneurs? Do not give up on your dreams, if you truly believe in yourself and your business you can achieve anything. Go easy on yourself and achieve what you can with the resources you have. My family are always my main priority and my goals are set around them. I am making my work life adapt to suit my home life and this way I am happy and have the best headspace to drive the business forward.
The postpartum period can often be tough on skin and hair, what are your recommendations during this time, keeping in mind that new mums don’t have much time! Keep it simple, but effective. Time is certainly the biggest obstacle and having two kids under two myself, I totally understand! Stretch marks, Melasma or Acne are all common pregnancy skincare issues, what would be your top tips in dealing with these conditions. Speak to a professional if you can as you may need some special attention if particularly affected. My top product recommendations would be Vit C to improve the appearance of stretch marks, SPF for melasma to ensure it doesn’t worsen and a deep-cleansing cleanser for acne.
