There is a limit to the number of lives we can live, but I believe that the trajectory of our lives (our souls) will continue to live on in the hearts of those involved. I believe that this chain of events will continue without end, from person to person. The title "Tree of Eternity" refers to the "endless growth of the soul. This work can be divided into two major parts. The first half is about hardship and frustration, and the second half is about prayer and hope. The first half begins with a theme (Mesto) in the minor key for clarinet and piccolo, which appears at various points throughout the piece. Through the second theme played by the saxophones, the piece gradually grows and becomes an Allegretto. The second theme is played by the saxophones. In the second half, the solo horn plays the first theme in the major key (Adagio pregando). Various instruments sing together and lead us to a prayer melody played by middle and bass instruments. After that, the music of resolution (Allegro risoluto) recreates the prayer melody, and the piece ends with a powerful coda. * This score has been revised and corrected upon receiving an honorable mention in the 11th Japan Society for Wind and Percussion Music Composition Award.
