ANDREW KOSOVE Producer Andrew Kosove is co-president and co-founder with Broderick Johnson of Alcon Entertainment, the Los Angeles based independent production company that develops, finances, produces, and markets theatrical motion pictures exclusively for distribution by Warner Bros. Founded in 1997 with financial backing from Federal Express Chairman and Founder Frederick Smith, Alcon has financed, and/or co-financed/ produced 19 films, including the box office hit and Best Picture Oscar nominated The Blind Side, and the hit action thriller The Book of Eli starring Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman. In late September, Alcon will release Dolphin Tale starring Morgan Freeman, Harry Connick Jr., Ashley Judd, and Kris Kristofferson, and in January will release Joyful Noise, a music driven comedy starring Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton. Kosove is also an accomplished marathon runner and ironman distance triathlete. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, producer Kira Davis, and their two children.

Jennifer Davisson Killoran (Producer) is president of production at Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company, Appian Way. Most recently, she produced “Red Riding Hood” and the thriller “Orphan.” Jennifer is currently prepping a live action version of the classic anime “Akira”. She is also developing the “Wolf of Wall Street” based on the memoir of a notorious Wall Street trader along with a wide range of other projects. On the small screen, Killoran served as coexecutive producer on the highly acclaimed docu-series “Greensburg,” in which the town of Greensburg, Kansas, rebuilt itself “green” after being leveled by a devastating tornado. In addition to working at Appian Way, Jennifer has been a talent manager alongside Rick Yorn for the past 11 years.

Mr. Harris has produced thirty-seven films, including five Sundance Film Festival entries, two films that have appeared in the Toronto Film Festival, one that debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival and another that garnered a Special Mention for the Camera D’Or at Cannes Film Festival. His most recent productions include Sundance entries Bottle Shock with Alan Rickman and Chris Pine (2008) and Golden Globewinning and Oscar nominated The Kids Are All Right starring Julianne Moore, Annette Bening, and Mark Ruffalo. He also executive produced Piranha 3D, released in the summer of 2010--currently in production for a 2011 sequel. Presently he is making the first ever mainstream lacrosse movie, Crooked Arrows. In the world of theatre, Mr. Harris served as an associate producer on the Australian tour of the new musical Dr. Zhivago, and is producing an adaptation of the hit cult movie ‘Heathers,’ while also developing a musical based on the novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses (The Game). Mr. Harris is a founding member on the board of the newly created Napa Valley Film Festival. He has been a member of the Producers Branch of the Motion Picture Academy since 1999. Mr. Harris lives in Los Angeles with his songwriter wife Amy Powers and their two boys, Jasper and Cole.

VERNON CHATMAN Vernon Chatman is a threetime Emmy award winning comedy writer, producer, director, performer and musician. He is a creator, writer, director and star of the cult MTV2 show Wonder Showzen and of the Adult Swim show Xavier: Renegade Angel with PFFR. He is a writer and producer on South Park (where he is the voice of “Towlie”) He has been a staff writer, and performed, The Chris Rock Show, and Late Night With Conan O’Brien.

AMY HOBBY Ms. Hobby has been producing for film and television for 16 years. Recent releases include The Virginity Hit (Sony Pictures) and the Steven Soderbergh directed documentary And Everything Is Going Fine (IFC) about Spalding Gray. Hobby has had 8 features and documentaries premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, including jury prize winner Secretary (Lions Gate) starring

J. Todd Harris is the CEO/ founder of Branded Pictures Entertainment. Originally from New York City, Mr. Harris earned his BA and MBA from Stanford. Between undergraduate and business school, he served as Managing Director of the award-winning Palo Alto-based repertory company TheatreWorks.

Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michael Almereyda’s Hamlet (Miramax) with Ethan Hawke, Bill Murray and Sam Shepard, Sunday (Cine 360) another Sundance Grand Jury Award, Un Certain Regard at Cannes and New Directors/New Films, and Nadja (October Films) Executive Produced by David Lynch. She is currently producing a documentary about Sam Shepard, Executive Produced by Terrence Malick, and is developing adaptations of the award-winning books Third Girl From the Left with Viola Davis starring and George C. Wolfe directing, The Tennis Partner by Dr. Abraham Verghese and There Are No Soulmates, to be directed by Agnieszka Holland. BERNHARD “BERNIE” STAMPFER Bernie Stampfer graduated from Constance University with a First Class Master of Arts Degree to continue his media oriented studies at the renowned Munich Film Academy. Soon after, Bernie followed the route of film production by creating his own company, Salinas Film GmbH, which produced exquisite documentaries, German TV drama, and feature films alike. Having decided to focus entirely on film financing he set up Media Park’s London

bureau. In 1994 Bernie was asked by London based European Script Fund/Media Development Agency in London to fill the newly created post of Financial Engineer. In January 2000 Bernie moved to Deutsche Bank AG as Vice President and Head of the Expert Team TMT/Telecommunication, Media and Technologies, the bank’s internal advisory service in the Corporate and Investment Banking division. Responsibilities included the structuring and negotiation of global financing transactions with independent film production and distribution companies and the major studios. Bernie and his team were also involved in structured finance transactions. Also, as part of the Asset Finance and Leasing (AFL) team in Frankfurt, Bernie was responsible for tax based closed end funds and private equity placements with the major studios. Bernie’s accomplishments included overseeing the financing of multiple film and television projects, raising significant equity and debt capital to secure investment portfolio, and negotiating financing and distribution arrangements. After eleven years in international banking, Bernie left Deutsche Bank to pursue his own business in the fields of video games, trans media product and international feature films, arranging private and institutional equity, mezzanine capital, and senior bank debt. Alongside his professional career, Bernie has engaged himself in numerous further training activities with EAVE, The Media Business School, Erich Pommer Institute, and many other institutions. He is a voting member of the European and German Film Academy.

CLAUS CZAIKA Mr. Czaika has spent close to forty years in the Film industry. As CEO of EuroVideo Bildprogramm, and one of the leading independent film distributors in Germany, he handles the distribution of i.e. Concorde Home Entertainment, Prokino, Delphi Film, NFP, and MIG. After having acquired the exclusive Super 8 licesnses of Walt Disney, Universal, Columbia,Twentieth Century Fox, and MGM in 1976, Mr. Czaika’s went on to found five companies in the realm of production and distribution over the next two decades. His companies include: ColorLux film Laboratory for Super 8 films, Eden distribution, EuroVideo Bildprogramm GmbH, GBW – Gesellschaft für Bildung und Werbung in Ottenburg Manor (Distribution of films and other audiovisual media, as well as related equipment to 30,000 schools and state media centers) and Karat productions. Between 1982 and 1992 he held exclusive distribution of the programs of Walt Disney, Lorima, MGM, United Artists, Playboy and Bavaria, which made him a market leader for over ten years. Early in his career, Claus also acquired Cinema aktuell Film Verleih for distribution of 16mm films from Walt Disney and Universal to commercial and non-profit customers such as schools, institutes and film theaters.

SHERIF MANDOUR Born in Cairo, Egypt in 1978, Sherif is a classical musician and viola player who has worked in multiple areas of the film industry. Since 1999, he has worked as a film editor in commercial Egyptian Films, as well as in documentary films. Since then has edited several feature length films, while also acting as a visual effects supervisor, and credits designer. Sherif has directed and produced several Egyptian independent films including Heliopolis (2009), winner of the Best Screenplay Award at the Sawiris foundation in Cairo, 2008. Other films include: Al Ragol Al Abyad Al Motawaset (2002) Howa Fi Aih (2003) Maelesh Ehna Benetbahdel (2005) Ein Shams by Ibrahim Batout ( 2007) Cairo Exit by Hesham Issawi (2010) Sherif is currently focused on establishing a new independent film production company in Egypt with other young filmmakers.

BOBBY BEDI Bobby initially worked in the corporate sector – First in the IT industry (HCL) and then in Entertainment Electronics and Broadcast Hardware business (Philips & Sony). Started Kaleidoscope in 1984 for the purpose of producing feature films and TV programs. Kaleidoscope is a fully functioning mini studio with its own state of the art production and post-production facilities including a 20 Acre Film Studio. Bobby is one of the rare professionals in the entertainment industry and is involved with several government and industry bodies and educational institutions focussing on media and entertainment. He is advisor to Industrial Development Bank of India and has served on several I & B committees and task forces. Including for the Planning Commission. He has served as a member of the Society and the Governing Council and the Academic Council of the Film & Television Institute of India, Pune, and has founded “School of Convergence”, India’s first post graduate school teaching content creation and management. Bobby is a vice president of the Film and TV producers’ Guild of India. He is a charter member of TiE, (The Indus Entrepreneurs) and a member of the Angel Investors Network.

Bobby has produced ten feature films and has received two national awards from the President of India. Films Bobby has produced include: Bandit Queen, Fire, Saathiya, Maqbool, American Daylight, ‘The Rising’ a story of the Mutiny of 1857. Bobby has also produced several TV series , Kehta Hai Joker (Sony), Bombay Blue (Channel Four/Star/Sony), Havva Ke Hath (Doordarshan), Ladkiyan (Doordarshan), Rajdhanui (Doordarshan) and others. Bobby’s company is currently developing a multi platform project on India’s greatest epic – The Mahabharata that includes a TV series, three feature films, gaming, a stage show and a museum exhibit at Kurukshetra. His last film Chintuli received three top awards at the Stardust Awards this year. Bobby is producing and directing 9 art films and a sound scape for a state-ofthe-art museum at Anandpur Sahib, Punjab.

VERA BELMONT Writer, director, and producer Vera Belmont has had a manysided career. Driven by her passion for politics and theater, she started as an actress in La Putain by Jean-Paul Sartre. She then embraced a producer career in the late sixties with Jose Giovanni’s La loi du Survivant, Maurice Pialat’s first film L’Enfance Nue, Andre Techine’s Souvenirs

In 1996, in addition to his work as a world class mix engineer Axel joined Grammy nominated producer/ engineer Erik Steinert to create an independent A&R Company, Stray Dog Music. As Stray Dog’s president, Axel developed young talent and served the music industry with artists, songs and cutting edge production. In 2008 Stray Dog joined forces with Sound Lounge, NYC’s pre-eminent post production facility where Axel worked on major broadcast ad campaigns for clients such as Audi, Smirnoff, Macy’s, Porsche, Sheba, Cesar, Buick, American Express and VW. He also mixed the main title theme for Ludorum’s animated series, Chuggington, on air in over 140 territories around the world. In 2010 Stray Dog Music partnered with multi-award winning creative director and composer Christopher McHale to form the international production company, HAUS, with facilities in Berlin, NYC, Boston & LA. Haus is a dynamic, artistdriven new-music company that creates fresh perspectives for media and brands in a complex and cluttered market.

An undergraduate of Woodwinds at Berklee College of Music and a graduate of the Full Sail Academy of Recording Arts, Axel’s 20 years in the music industry have earned him 1 Grammy Nomination as the Recording & Mix Engineer for Best Rap Album with The Roots, “Things Fall Apart”, various Grammy Participation Awards and an impressive list of RIAA certified Gold and Platinum awards with Recording, Mix and Production credits, including artists such as Erykah Badu, Stevie Wonder, Faith Evans, Puff Daddy, Aretha Franklyn, Carly Simon, Notorious B.I.G., Foxy Brown and many more.
