And the V-Strom 650A (“A” for ABS), affectionately known as the “Wee-Strom,” is a good example of that kind of common sense practicality, designed as a smaller displacement follow-up to its bigger brother, the V-Strom 1000 (or DL1000). “The V-Strom 650 is one of our most popular bikes,” Marcus told me. “It’s achieved an almost cult-like following.
No matter what Suzuki event I go to, eventually I find myself surrounded by V-Strom owners, asking questions, talking about their bikes, giving me their opinions and feedback.” The group is roughly split into two camps.
