GC MapleLeaf Summer Hoopfest HOSTED BY GOSHEN COLLEGE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL JUNE 12th and 13th (may attend 1 or 2 days)
GC MAPLE LEAFS SUMMER HOOPFEST 2015 The Goshen College Women’s Basketball Program is proud to be hosting the 2015 GC MapleLeaf Summer Hoopfest on Friday, June 12th & Saturday, June 13th. Teams can choose to participate in either a single day of games or in both events. Friday’s games will be pool play style, while Saturday’s games will be a tournament bracket style. There will be different teams paired up on each day. High School (varsity and junior varsity/ frosh) teams will be guaranteed at least three games each day against balanced competition, helping them develop and prepare as individual players and teams. Overnight accommodations are available upon request.
FACILITIES * Goshen College (3 full courts at Roman Gingerich Recreation Fitness Center) for all varsity level teams * Goshen High School / Middle School may be used for junior varsity and freshmen games making a total of seven courts available for use if needed.
GAME INFORMATION/ RULES • Two divisions provided for both varsity and junior varsity/ frosh: Black Division (higher competition) White Division (developing competition) • Games are 1 hour, 20-minute running clock halves. The clock will stop in final 2 min. of 2nd half. • Two registered High School officials will officiate each court • Full game rule sheets will be provided on site • Full schedules will be emailed to coaches on Sunday, June 7th • Games will begin at between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. each day • Full concessions stand will be available at each site both days • Admission is $5 for an all day pass (all sites) & children 5 and under are free. • All teams must have a light and dark uniform/ reversible jersey for competition
COSTS • Entry is $175 per team (for a single day) / $300 per team (for both days) • Entry is $150 per team if a program is bringing 2 teams (ie. Varsity & JV) • All teams must provide 1 worker per game to run a clock/ score sheet
