Travel info Flights to Faro in the Algarve are very easy to find but can increase in price quickly. We strongly recommend booking early to get the best deals. Lisbon, Portugal’s capital, is served by EasyJet, Ryan Air, TAP and British Airways.

Climate April to June and September to October are very popular months to travel. November, which is technically in the low season, is an excellent time to travel, especially to the Algarve where the weather is generally still very pleasant.

Climate Tropical Thailand’s average annual temperature is 27˚C. The hot season is March to May, cool season November to February and rainy season June to October. The best time to go is from November to March.

Top tip You will find great golf courses in just about all parts of Thailand. Use a caddy where available – which is at most of the best courses. They provide excellent advice and will certainly help you shoot a better score.

OUTH CAROLINA is quite simply a golfing paradise. It’s difficult to look past the 1991 Ryder Cup venue Kiawah Island, where there are no fewer than five courses. The star attraction is Pete Dye’s Ocean Course, which also hosted the 2012 PGA Championship, won by Rory McIlroy, a major that returns to Kiawah in 2021. There are also courses designed by the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio and Gary Player to choose from. Kiawah Island is a 45-minute drive from stylish Charleston, recently voted by Conde Nast Traveller readers as the top city in the world outside of the UK and the number one small city in the USA. A port city, Charleston is renowned for its pastel antebellum houses and excellent restaurants, while the four golf courses on our Charleston Tour are all within half an hour’s drive. A little further south is Hilton Head Island, where you will find the popular PGA Tour stop at the Sea Pines Resort. Finally, to the north of Charleston is Myrtle Beach. The golf here is exceptional with Myrtle Beach National and TPC Myrtle Beach two obvious highlights.

Alternatively, there are multiple one-stop options from the UK to all the key golfing areas of South Carolina. HE PGA Tour don’t just play the occasional tournament in Florida – there is an entire section of the season called ‘The Florida Swing’. Florida’s credentials as a holiday destination are longestablished – and no wonder with year-round sunshine and countless direct flights. The state is home to theme parks, shopping malls, boardwalks that cut through swamps and vibrant, colourful cities. All of our destinations are long-established tour stops. Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club and Lodge hosts the AP Invitational each March and is a familiar sight with the famous 18th green curving around the lake and rocks. Further north is TPC Sawgrass, annual host of the Players Championship. Who wouldn’t want to take on the 17th hole with its island green? The Stadium Course is the headline act at TPC Sawgrass, however Dye’s Valley is an exceptional alternative. And to the south are the Innisbrook Resort, where you will find another PGA Tour venue, Copperhead, and Trump National Doral Miami, with its signature Blue Monster weighing in at 7,590 yards.
